I just bought one of the L4D poster packs for a friend's birthday, and wanted to include an easy way to hang them when I give them to him. I checked online, but they only give ways to hang hard-backed posters or are otherwise unhelpful.
A poster frame?
I had a beatles yellow submarine poster and we gave that bitch a full on picture frame with a glass cover.
This, on every corner so that it straightens itself..or tape.

Get a poster frame. I can not agree with this man hard enough.
Sure you can use tacks, but after a while they start to rip the corners of your poster, and with a frame, you can easily take it down from your wall and put it somewhere else.
Lay it out flat under your bed, let gravity do the rest. Then take it out in a week or two.
Steal a frame from an art gallery
Steal a frame from an art gallery
This. It adds to the overall authenticity.
Saying "I stole this" sounds more badass than "I bought this"
On the wall
Poster frames will make your posters look a++ and not like a highschooler's bedroom.
If you are a highschooler, congratulations! A poster frame will gain you either praise and admiration, or merciless mocking, depending on your friend group.
But yeah, I cannot stress how great poster frames are. The frame helps to bring the poster out from the wall a bit, draws the eye in, helps keep your room looking more tidy and polished, and just looks snazzy. I brought two cheap ones and had trouble with the glass (the glass broke, both times), but to be honest I think it looks great without any glass - just the poster and the frame.
