Except Hans Zimmer totally didn't do that. He did Crysis 2's music however.
You're right. I just looked it up. I keep on getting Inon Zurr and Zimmer confused. Foreign names
Hans Zimmer makes some really awesome music, like this sound track from Pirates of the Caribbean. View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=s17XDrKuqc4 Edit: Oh, and also Jeremy Soule's music. View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=xBSiIeu1Yg8 View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=nJD-Ufi1jGk
Jeremy Soule does the music for Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance, as well as Guild Wars. Funny enough, Forged Alliance and Guild Wars are among my favourite games. I didn't know that Soule did the music for Morrowind and Skyrim as well, but it doesn't surprise me. Anything he touches is meant to be epic from the very start.

Not a typical "Epic" song.
Good stuff, even though I don't like anything else by Schneidemesser. Which is a German name by the way, it means cut-knife.
I always liked this one. It's Symphony No. 8, by Gustav Mahler. That bit at the start never fails to impress me.
Wasn't actually in the game, but still pretty good.
It was, at a part where you fight the combine and you finish the fight go into a building and you see a guy laying on the ground dying.
Haven't seen this anywhere in the thread: I myself can't get enough of the part where it properly 'kicks in'.

Dimmu Borgir's got some tight epic orchestral compositions in their songs. Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse Orchestral track: Dimmu Borgir Orchestral track: Gateways Orchestral track: There's more, but these are the ones with most "epic" feeling going on. The band's ex-Keyboardist performing the first mentioned song on piano: I think this thread needs to be moved to the music section.
