Morning facepunch
Good afternoon
is it bad that the first thing I do each day after showering is check Facepunch
Anything happen over the weekend since Friday of interest? I was camping, with a member of a 'band' I was in, and I was talking to him, I actually haven't met the band irl, apart from 2 of the members, and as it happens the only two decant musicians in the band where the two I knew. The rest where just bloating the band, a singer who gets stage fright and a guitarist who couldn't play guitar well and was a knob. So I started a new band with the 2 I knew and they quit this band (The guitarist who was a knob started the band so it would be best not to take over as a newly invited member). It's complicated and I hope I haven't been a dick to nice people, although the only person who I'm worried about upsetting is the singer, who I haven't heard much about apart from him getting stage fright.

A singer with stage fright is just an incompatible combo, and he should know that. For me, I was meant to get high, got drunk instead, then played the fuck out of a drumkit to my friends funk guitaring, and he showed me how putting paper under the strings of an acoustic guitar sounds awesome.

I think it's just his voice goes crap when he gets nervous and when you have other things on your mind, like remembering lyrics, you don't notice you sound like shit.

Why is Architects (UK) – Hollow Crown so goddamn good? I can't stop listening to it!
yeah, I used to enough issues with stage fright as a drummer, if you can't get over it you're just going to hold the band back.
All I'm saying is I hope he doesn't get pissed off. I think we'll need a new singer as I can only growl but for short times only and the rhythm guitarist has a few confidence issues and the lead guitarist is doing lead.
kinda gay
It turns all straight guys gay, and all gay guys straight. It's a never-ending cycle
what type of music are you playing?
Metal, of some sort. I like most metal and the rest are into BFMV, trivium and shit like that.
Metal, of some sort. I like most metal and the rest are into BFMV, trivium and shit like that.
could always start off as instrumental if worst comes to worst, get a bit of hype around the band to attract a new vocalist
Morning facepunch
Good night.
could always start off as instrumental if worst comes to worst, get a bit of hype around the band to attract a new vocalist
Exactly what i'm doing with my band.
Why is Architects (UK) – Hollow Crown so goddamn good? I can't stop listening to it!
I listened to it, and the music was decent. However imo the vocals ruined it. It wasn't just abrasive like death growls or whatever, it just sounded strained. Like the singer was in physical pain. I'm sure you be able to give me a million reasons why the vocals are the best thing since sliced bread, but I can't stand them. [editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
could always start off as instrumental if worst comes to worst, get a bit of hype around the band to attract a new vocalist
Or just do what STS9 did and stay instrumental FOREVER
no seriously you guys are just lovely
It's pretty good, but the bass sounds out of place in the first ~30 seconds
On another subject: who started djent? I'm being told it was Bulb from Periphery, and/or Meshuggah which one is it
are you nuts it's obviously meshuggah, jesus christ
