I'm sure they can sort of like, see through the LED things on their helmets.
Over the past like, 8 years of listening to Daft Punk, why has this never occured to me until now. They didn't play live when Discovery came out (I think one of them was in danger of permanent hearing loss/tinnitus for awhile and had to stop DJ'ing) and when they toured in 2007 they came out with new helmets that removed the lights.
And there you go.
Volpin Props (The guy who made that swweeeeeeeeettttt Portal Gun) Is building a Daft Punk(Thomas) helmet and I think he's working on an LED thing that he can see through.
God it'd be scary if I lost my hearing because of music.
God it'd be scary if I lost my hearing because of music.
You have to be careful, lot's of people are just like, "CRANK IT MAN WOOOH!", but every time they do that, they might be damaging their ears permanently. I always use ear plugs when playing guitar, specifically with a band/live, I don't understand how people can handle it. I played one song with my band not wearing plugs, and my ears hurt so much during it, I wanted to rip them out. Fortunately, my hearing was great when I got them checked a few months ago. Also, it bugs me when people do things like hitting the crash cymbals as hard as they possibly can 4 times in a row without warning, ever since my friend did that, I have a slight ringing every night. Tinnitus drives people to suicide if you continue bad habits.
Post link
I will next week once I've grobbled a fair amount
God it'd be scary if I lost my hearing because of music.
I've kinda lost it, not completely but I can't hear as well as anyone else. Mostly because of music, but firecrackers, trains, the city, cars and other things that I hear everyday (yeah, firecrackers about everyday, always some fucked up little kid in the area trying to blow some snow up) messes with my hearing. I also got tinnitus and it sucks pretty fucking much. And I got it at such a high "level", that I hear it all the time, it is always there, can always hear it. It's such a fucking... sad thing to have :smith: So do as Kab2tract says, use ear plugs or something if you're going to, lets say, a concert, or just get some large headphones that cover your entire ear, and use them while you're going to school/work/wherever, bonus if you have an mp3-player with some of your favorite music. Just don't exaggerate the volume, as long as your hearing is fine, try to keep it that way.

Messes up my timing to all shit though, I need a bit of ring :smith:
I heard previews of each track on WTF?! by KMFDM. Seems pretty uninspired, hopefully it will be an album that will grow on like Attak did.
Anyone wanna tinychat? I might do private shows for some money :v:
God it'd be scary if I lost my hearing because of music.
I keep telling people to stop listening to music so loud... They never listen. The ways of getting a thrill out of music has been "Loudness" instead of depth... :sigh: [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] Example: *"want to give my new headphones a listen?" "ARE THEY LOUD?"
I don't care if it makes me go deaf I want to physically feel the music I'm listening to
I really don't listen to music loud, at least I don't think so.
went for a nap just before. napping is fucking awesome. I think I'll do it every afternoon.
I don't care if it makes me go deaf I want to physically feel the music I'm listening to
Well, you might as well get Skullcandy Skullcrushers. Great way to listen to music. :downs:
Am I the only one who doesn't understand most music without lyrics? I can do it just fine with most French music, but in English it takes a great deal of effort unless it's rap or something.
That doesn't even make sense
Am I the only one who doesn't understand most music without lyrics?
What as in what the sounds are trying to say? Yes it's tough, takes some deep thought. That's why I love Jazz :v:
Post rock man If you can't understand that, wow
Listened to a lot of freaky ambient stuff this week, now that shit you can't even explain. :psyboom:
