If that random person would be someone noone knows, then yes, I would
Why do you guys act like random means you can chose and you'll know prior who it is.
Totally would. :smug:
If it was like this, maybe.
The fact that so many people voted yes makes me worry for the human race.
In fact, even one person voting yes would be enough to make me worry.
No, it's not like killing someone is like call of duty or GTA I'm not sure if I could live with myself even with all the money knowing that I killed a probably innocent person
Random person? Nah, not completely random. Maybe for a rational reason. I mean, I'd love to have a million when I'm serving my life sentence or being executed and can't do shit with it. [editline]31st December 2010[/editline] Also for a rational reason if there's no punishment, probably yes.
Everyone here is assuming it would be for personal gain. Imagine for a minute that it would give you $1 billion. In that case, while one random person will die, many others in places like Africa could have a significant improvement to their lives if it was given as aid. In this case, the extra money would do more good than bad. However, I'm not what economic implications it would have if that amount of money was just created out of thin air (Would it be worth less? I don't know, I'm not an economist). I'm still undecided on this problem (Although at only $1 million I don't think it would be worth it).
No. Don't get me wrong, I'am a man who lives money. But I belive in getting it honestly. If I got a million dollars for killling some poor innocent fellow, I'd feel guilty about.
No because I'm not a twat. uherpderp i dun care bout nother humin beins life cus im hardcor and emotionless cus emotions are for stoopud mainstrem joks and sluts! Also, I'm going to bookmark this thread, so that whenever I'm in an argument with someone or see their opinion on something that matters, I can bring this thread up and see what they voted.
No I wouldn't, there's a good film called the box on the same subject.
Isn't the ending basically he [sp]kills himself and he actually died and was in a place where they decided if he went to heaven or hell?[/sp]
I voted yes, but on second thought no I wouldn't. Only reason being this: Every time I spend the money it'll remind me of what I'd done to get it.
No, and the fact that you misspelled "wouldn't" is really bloody annoying.
You're 12.
Is this like the short story that I read in English, where the one random person is someone close to you, then the old man is like "Well, you never really knew him". Either way, 1 million dollars is 1 million dollars.
I'd just kill a john doe homeless person, or a crack addict, or go to a nursing home and find someone who wants euthanasia.
If it was like The Box, where you just opened some thing and got a million dollars, sure.
People die everyday. In the overall picture it's worth it. Most families are worth alot less then 1,000,000. Call me cruel, but I would easily do what the movie "The Box" did, aslong as I am not involved in the particular murder and not caught, ofcourse I would.
If it was like The Box, where you just opened some thing and got a million dollars, sure.
[sp]And then went to hell afterwards[/sp]
Probably if it's someone who I don't know and probably would never know. Maybe several times.
If I could choose, I would. After numerous hours of torture. Fuck you Alex you cheating stealing faggot. (no he's not here)
I vote no. It would suck to be that one random person that "had to die" because some other greedy idiot had to have a big pile of cash.
In GTA I would. If you're willing to take a persons life (especially for a million dollars) then you don't even deserve your own life.
Donate money to hospital, save many lives. It would be immoral not to kill a random clot for such charity.
Hell yeah. Id do some dirty shit for 1 mil USD. They told me to press a button I would say fuck that grab a rifle and be back in ten.
There's also a chanse you might kill him, so yes.
No, because I wouldn't fucking be able to live with myself. Imagine putting someone through the pain of losing a loved one. I'd be absolutely disgusted with myself.
Do I have to do it myself or is it just "sign here and we'll have a hitman go and kill them for you and you'll get one million dollars"?
It's more like "press this button recive bux"
Definitely. [editline]31st December 2010[/editline] There's like 50/50 chance that it'll be someone who deserves to die according to my morals.
Your "morals" shouldn't give you responsibility over other's lives. I know I definitely wouldn't kill anyone, especially not for some arbitrary reward. Although this does remind me of something I thought about in middle school: Before the last Harry Potter book came out, there was lots of debate over whether or not Harry would live or die at the end. I, obviously, hoped he would survive. I remember wondering, if I had the choice between Harry dying or some random person in the world dying, what would I choose. I almost immediately realized it was disgusting to even consider that ultimatum. And even though Harry's death would have been more traumatic for the rest of the world, there is a huge difference between tangible life and intangible things.
Yes. I am an emotionless bastard who would gladly see one member of my family die to help the rest of my family. I would honor their sacrafice and I am a horrible person for wanting money to support my family.
If It's someone who deserves to die and I won't get in trouble, sure.
