Some why I couldn't put up with the fact that I killed someone for money.
Kill person, use money to save starving Africans and save more lives then hurt.

I don't believe in that. Killing one person to save millions is still immoral to me
I believe in Karma, so no.
I don't believe in that. Killing one person to save millions is still immoral to me
yea I would feel bad that I killed a person but hopefully knowing that I saved many more would help.
I would probably still feel bad but after seeing the people I saved I would feel good.
Its funny though once you think about it. Many people why became millionaires had to do it by ruining someones life one way or another. Once you think about it this is just a faster way.
Yes if I was guaranteed I wouldn't get in trouble with the law and I got to choose who.
No otherwise.
This pretty much.

"The moment I press this button, a nuclear warhead will detonate and kill millions!"
"Take the shot!"
"No, that's immoral!"
No I wouldn't. I'm not a greedy sociopath.
ITT: Facepunch is made up of immoral bastards.
I thought you supported capital punishment

No, I mean in a scenario like the OP, like killing a random person in order to save people
If my risk at getting caught is next to zero, then yes, otherwise no.
If it doesn't mean that I don't have to kill that person then sure.
This is actually the basis of an economical concept called externalities.
Explain how so.
Externalities AFAIK are external costs or benefits to a third party that is not involved in a production or transaction of a good without compensation.
how is this a form of externalities ; i'm quite interested to see how it is so. Please PM.
Think about it this way: if I had a million dollars, I wouldn't give it all away to save one random human.
ladies and gentlemen, the grand prize goes to this one
Yep, as long as nobody else knew that I was the reason they died.
Kill person, use money to save starving Africans and save more lives then hurt.
Like every other guilty white man with money in their bank account.
Would I get in trouble for it? If no, yes.
I don't understand why everyone is saying "Assuming it doesn't get traced back to me". They aren't going to do a world wide search for everyone that has pressed a button in the last 48 hours.
Most likely yes.
I am very poor and I'm tired of living in this shithole where sometimes I can't even pay for enough food.
Boo fucking hoo.
At least you have a place to stay, food to eat. Many people don't even have the luxury of saying that. How would you respond if someone walked up to you and killed you simply because of their greed?
And don't start with "Well I'd only do it if there wouldn't be any consequences", because there always will be consequences when you blatantly kill someone. The person's family and friends, will worry, people start asking questions, the cops will sniff a trail, until you're sitting in a courtroom getting convicted of manslaughter. But his death doesn't only affect him. The emotional toll on his family and friends would be devastating, and assuming you could, the giant gap of guilt in your conscience would slowly eat you up.

1 million is not enough to save starving africans.
Instead buy yourself a nice house or a car or something.
Do you really think any of us would do it ? the assassination attempt would result in awkward silence at the most.
I think the idea is someone else does the killing, they just get the money.
It's not enough.
I thought you supported capital punishment
No...
However to some degree I do support use of lethal force in self defense.
1 million is not enough to save starving africans.

it enough to save a few and I would probably have enough to get myself an average car.

So you wouldn't kill someone if there was no way to trace it back to you, the person being killed wouldn't be someone you know, and it wasn't you doing the killing?
Seriously, the odds are in your favor that you're just going to kill some random person in India, China, or Africa.
I would want to know the person before I killed him.
I mean it would suck to not know you just killed a great scientist or something.
As long as I could set rough parameters, like the person wants to die or they're serial killers, then I would go for it.
