Agree, that is very awesome.
It is now inevitable that everyone from Melbourne will come in demanding you move there because Sydney sucks.
Nah mate we don't want him, he can fuck off we're full! (I feel like such a bogan all of a sudden) Seriously though Australia in general is pretty great.
Australia is awesome
I love Australia, but it really depends on what you want out of it. Where do you live now? How old are you? What sort of atmosphere are you looking for in a country? And don't listen to these retarded americans who've never been to australia, they don't know shit. It's very expensive to live here however, house prices especially in Sydney are an absolute ripoff. [editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Internet is caped and is very slow - good luck with steam Games cost a shitload more then the UK - Have fun with playing only on AUS servers with 100+ ping some pay like 99 USD for 2 MB down and 1 mb up ( if your lucky )
and OP hopefully you aren't a pathetic nerd like the dumbass ive quoted and have more interests in moving than the internet speed here.
Australia is the land of plenty, where the women glow and the men plunder. No really it is the best country on earth we may have some stupid laws, but really the pros outweigh the cons easy, sand sun surf. I live in the Hunter btw about 2 hours from sydney, its a very nice place.
How is the hunter valley anyway compared to Sydney city anyway? Heard it's pretty nice.
Its really nice, plenty of clubs and shops, great beaches and plenty of vineyards as well if you feel like being classy ;)
Don't goto Sydney, It's a shithole out of the city itself. Goto Adelaide, It's awesome.
hahaha i think we can all agree that adelaide:the city of churches is a boring glorified country town
Which area in Australia are you planning to move to. :D
Don't goto Sydney, It's a shithole out of the city itself. Goto Adelaide, It's awesome.
Awh, really? I was considering the beach.
The irony is, I'm Australian and I'm allergic to native plants here. [editline]14th November 2010[/editline]
Awh, really? I was considering the beach.
Go to melbourne/perth, I've livedi n both cities, the beach is awesome. Melbourne has more stuff to do though.
Every insect in Australia is going to hunt you down and violently kill you and your entire family.
I like how no one has mentioned living in Darwin. There's a reason for that. I live in North Queensland and I think Darwin is bogan as fuck.
You wanna move to North Korea minus the fences and mines?
Every insect in Australia is going to hunt you down and violently kill you and your entire family.
Don't listen to stereotypes like these, you'll only find big insects in the bush, only the occasional house spiders.
Every insect in Australia is going to hunt you down and violently kill you and your entire family.
I must say you're not very good at being funny. But if you mean the insects are bad then thank you for the advice. Ill bring some Off.
I must say you're not very good at being funny. But if you mean the insects are bad then thank you for the advice. Ill bring some Off.
It's not funny at all because its true.

Everything that moves and doesn't move in Australia is trying to kill you. I wouldn't want to live there
For sure, just don't go to WA, there's nothing useful there (unless you want a well paying job, business is booming over there). You could live in SA (where I live) is great if you want a quiet, relaxed life with 90 degree angled roads everywhere and very little traffic - beware of getting stabbed by Wog, Leb Unley High, Pasedena High and Adelaide High kids. Sydney is fairly busy most of the time, and is full of god damned asians!!! Also the weather there is fair shite, humid 24/7 in the hot months, still some nice coastal areas and harbors. NT is boring, only a couple of hundred thousand people live in the capital city (Darwin), lots of cyclones. Brisbane is cool for a holiday, but is fairly lame for a permanent living area. Victoria is pretty much the best of all of Australia, with an excellent city life, interesting country history, great entertainment and lots of job opportunities - just make sure you know a great deal about AFL (Australia Football League, it's far from soccer) before moving there. Overall Australia is still a fairly sick place if you have the $$$
Personally I recommend you move to Brisbane/Gold Coast. Lots of beaches, theme parks, places to go, ect. Weather is awesome there too. Also the cost of living in Brisbane is much less than Sydney. And nobody else has mentioned this but the recession barely hit us, its not hard to get a job. The down side is, a lot of things are expensive and if you go out the cities it's common to find dangerous animals.
