Supersize me.
Don't goto Sydney, It's a shithole out of the city itself. Goto Adelaide, It's awesome.
no melbourne is the best
no melbourne is the best
Melbourne seems to be best by popular demand.
I live in in Melbourne, if you ignore the weird people at flinders st station when I'm at uni it's cool beans.
Could someone tell me about American insurance in australia?
Isn't moving banned yet?
Hot as fuck in Sydney right now though
Apparently it's gonna rain today in Melbourne. Pfft, I bet it's gonna get cloudy as shit then be sunny in about 5 minutes.
Your gonna get banned...from australia
One thing I hate about Melbourne weather is all the goddamn revolving it does. Cloudy sunny cloudy sunny rainy rainy sunny cloudy sunny sunny sunny sunny rainy cloudly sunny Describes our weather perfectly. [editline]15th November 2010[/editline]
Also if you're a clean freak. Tassy (which you shouldn't move to) has the cleanest air in the world. Melbourne has the cleanest water in the world.
Too bad I need to get my pipes replaced to see that clean water because my current pipes get this mucous shit in it that makes it taste sour. Now I have to filter all my water and it takes goddamn hours to do.
Hot as fuck in Sydney right now though
Was 30ish at the end of last week in Melbourne, then got super rainy and down to 18 or something on Saturday. Well look at that, apparently mean to rain atm in melbourne with a max of 18, well guess what weatherman, you should wait around 5 minutes. 8:17am, clear sky, only clouds are white clouds in the far distance. [editline]14th November 2010[/editline] 18 degreas celcius, which is above average for a morning.
It's still cloudy over the city. Clear over my suburb, though.
If you're Indian: for the love of god, Vishnu, or whoever the hell you may pray to, do NOT come here. A lot of the locals don't seem too fond of Indians and bashings have occurred!
Fucking this, it was 32 degrees on Friday and it rained all day on Saturday, it is supposed to be spring!
This! It fucking ruined my plans on Saturday. Although, I'm not complaining, because, as someone from Scotland, Melbourne is probably the only place in Australia that I could stand the heat in (and even then fucking summer time heat still almost kills me... like literally almost kills me! I got burned so badly at the start of 2009 that my neck blistered all over).
If you come here, don't forget you'll be sacrificing some luxuries such as Dr Pepper and Pop Tarts, I loved those things and can't honestly think why they don't sell them here anymore.
There's a shop where I live (out in one of the new developing western suburbs of Melbourne) that stocks food and drink from America and the UK. We buy pop tarts from there, and Irn-Bru (Scottish soft drink) among other things. And they also have Dr Pepper, too! Shit's so cash. There's also a shop somewhere in Williamstown that does the same, I think. On that note: Williamstown is a lovely place to cycle to along the cycle path around this portion of the bay.
I get the impression that Australia is paradise when it comes to the looks, and I envy the people living there. It's been my dream since I was like 7 to go diving at Great Barrier Reef :(
Move to New Zealand. It's like Australia but with a lower economy but as a bonus we don't have crazy fucked up laws, water restrictions and our animals don't try kill you.
YIS MOEV TO NIW ZILAND BRoo

One kid gets smacked up and suddenly it's a hate crime. Fuck Australia, Go on Mars
Just curious, everyone has been talking about pings from Aussie servers, but how much do australians get in international servers (US and europe)
200+ in mid USA to east coast, 180 or so in West coast, and most of the time Euro shit is unplayable. Australia needs to upgrade their shit.
If you like beaches, the Gold Coast is tops.
The Entrance, a place near me, is getting shitty. Its a nice place, everyone there is a good person, but everywhere you look there are highrise apartment blocks and shit. They will never fill all of the rooms in them, and they make the place look ugly.
What's with all the people taking the piss out of our internet connections? I live 300k's above Melbourne, pay $65 a month, get 14mbit down and 1mbit up, have no trouble streaming shit, nice line quality, and get a 50ms ping to Perth.
Australia is beautiful from California's perspective.
Hello, well to put a long story short i have been contemplating moving to Australia. What are your views on this? I really don't know too much about the country and would love some input. I was also interested about cost of living but i couldn't find anything relative on google.
Enjoy your ban.
Could someone tell me about American insurance in australia?
You'd need to speak to your insurance company. I honestly doubt that any American insurance company would cover claims from within Australia (excluding travel insurance). Yeah Melbourne weather is the most fucked up in the world. Two days ago is was 31 degrees (Celsius) and yesterday it was cold and raining the whole day.
move to brisbane, you can walk around without shoes in public and nobody gives a shit
Yeah, Australia needs their internet to travel faster than the speed of light!
Light travels around the Earth ~7.4 times in a second. You wouldnt need internet even remotely close to that to have a decent ping. I get a better ping in China than I do in Australia.
Dude go for it, i hear Australia's awesome, I mean if you're into living next to every venomous creature possible.
