It's a beautiful country, but things are expensive, and the government is a bit.. :downs:
If it's expensive crap and :downs: governments you're looking for look no further than Ireland! [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] Also GIANT SPIDERS UGH
I get the impression that Australia is paradise when it comes to the looks, and I envy the people living there. It's been my dream since I was like 7 to go diving at Great Barrier Reef :(
Its hardly a paradise, but its a great place to be. Got its problems, but what country doesnt?
Enjoy your ban.
I would have been banned by now.
OP still hasn't answered my question.
If you're Indian: for the love of god, Vishnu, or whoever the hell you may pray to, do NOT come here. A lot of the locals don't seem too fond of Indians and bashings have occurred!
a few of them were just indian students faking shit for insurance money, and there was hardly any of them. You're fine if you come to perth indian [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] i can't even remember last time i saw something that could kill me wildlife wise
move to brisbane, you can walk around without shoes in public and nobody gives a shit
*no shoes, board shorts and no shirt.
move to brisbane, you can walk around without shoes in public and nobody gives a shit
this applies to pretty much everywhere
Australia is beautiful from California's perspective.
Not me, no. I'm tired of the shitty climate here. HOT AND SUNNY :downs:
In the front, flinders street station, in the background, Eureka Skydeck. Awesome. It's Melbourne.
am tanning irl
I live in in Melbourne, if you ignore the weird people at flinders st station when I'm at uni it's cool beans.
stay out of all train stations you mean.
Sydney. Melbourne is only a good place if you're just visiting, like for a vacation or something. Since there's really not much to do there. Alot to do in Sydney. Hotter chicks too I think.
I hear games in Australia are like twice the price of anywhere else. [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] And the internet is shitty.
New Zeland is better
bad troll gents
I hear games in Australia are like twice the price of anywhere else. [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] And the internet is shitty.
Yes, but who cares.
As a general rule of thumb: in Melbourne (and I suppose its the same in most places) the further away you get from the CBD the more shit and dangerous the areas become (especially at night time). Getting off at the train stations in Laverton, or Bayswater, or Lilydale, or somewhere like that when it's dark fucking scares me shitless.
has anyone mentioned the bogans and the aboriginals that actually cause trouble? Not trying to sound racist here, but the fact in the matter is if you were around where I lived you would think that the racism towards them is justified. they really make my area look bad... so don't come to western australia/perth in the midland area.
I’m in Brisbane and it’s pretty good, but the weather in summer can be boiling hot. Also watch out for drop bears. Because they are watching you.

Perth is pretty goddamn awesome. It's a considerably big city, but theres nobody in it. Walking around central Perth is kind of like I Am Legend.
Light travels around the Earth ~7.4 times in a second. You wouldnt need internet even remotely close to that to have a decent ping. I get a better ping in China than I do in Australia.
Then swap ISPs to one with a PoP (point of presence) within your state... If you understand how the internet works, you can't expect to have a direct connection to the US...
There needs to be a: 'Not Sure' option.
;26073051']Melbourne is only a good place if you're just visiting, like for a vacation or something. Since there's really not much to do there.
Considering Victoria is the most progressive state (in terms of our growth), there'd be a lot more to do down here and more job opportunities. If you're referring to just holidaying, lol.
;26073051']Hotter chicks too I think.
haha, so funny when people make comments like this.
OP is going to get banned the second he steps foot on that place.
OP still hasn't answered my question.
I'm sorry, i must have missed it. What was your question? [editline]15th November 2010[/editline]
OP is going to get banned the second he steps foot on that place.
Oh, im sure.
Yes, but who cares.
Anyone who's a gamer I'm sure.
New Zealand > Australia. I dunno why I just prefer it.
