How did you teach your dog not to chase your cat around like a fart in a glass of water?
I am going to be dogsitting on a daily basis, a dog that is quite hostile to local cats, so its going to be rather problematic if someone doesn't know a miracle cure for this ancient rivalry between canine and feline
Depends on the dog, really. If they grew up with the cat, they'll get along just fine, but some just have the right temperament to be around cats. My parents dog used to get along with my old cat just fine and never had any problems.
My dog and cat are the reverse, Dog loves the cat, cat does not like the dog

They hated each other at first, but they quickly became friends and now sleep together every night.

Here's a pic my mom took of two of the puppers that we have back home.
Fuzzy and Sadie. Fuzzy is some kind of dog. She showed up like 2 or 3 years ago wandering around the house (we live in a fairly rural area) and after like 3 months, she got the courage to try to come in the house. We adopted Sadie from some family friends after she was too aggressive towards their goats.

My cat avoided my dog for a decade, he wouldn't even go downstairs. Then they started napping in the sun together.
Meet Lombardi, the male english budgerigar with a silly and sassy personality. He's the first budgie I've had that's hand-trained. He loves me and I love him.
He is also the bird in Bradyns' avatar.

Aw fuck yea man, been waiting for this thread. She's loud and 100% blind but I have never known a more loyal and lovable pooch. She has her sweet sixteen in June, but it's looking like she probably won't make it til then as she's really showing her age now. She still has her good days, though. Photos are two summers ago, then 9 months, 2 months, then a few weeks.

(most people use YouTube)

from top to bottom:
Biscuit
Ruckus
Mimi
Ruckus and Mimi are my eldest, so they always stay closest to me. Biscuit, Pally, and Cecil (Pally and cecil being Mimi's sons, not pictured) usually stay nearby or with my folks.
Example, Ruckus and Mimi are both currently behind me in my bed asleep.

Also, mimi is missing most of her teeth due to periodontitis, so her tongue will pop out when she's asleep.
