Here's my dog. I also have 4 pussies, an evil bird, and some fish I need to get pictures of.

Baseball stats: IQ of a cinder block, strange voice unlike what a cat should have, affectionate to a fault(He will not rest easy unless he's on my chest as close to my face as possible, as seen in the pic, and if he is there he is all purrs and ^w^ and such), and did I mention he's dumb as a brick?
Wouldnt give him up for anything, tho.
Does the cat store give refunds? I think mine is defective.
Aw fuck yea man, been waiting for this thread. She's loud and 100% blind but I have never known a more loyal and lovable pooch. She has her sweet sixteen in June, but it's looking like she probably won't make it til then as she's really showing her age now. She still has her good days, though. Photos are two summers ago, then 9 months, 2 months, then a few weeks.

Today was the day, about 1PM we had her put to sleep. It wasn't very graceful, I'll probably be beating myself up over it for a while. Good dog.

Max and Charlie, the Danger Brothers because of how often they're fucking stuff up around the house.
I also have a crossbreed Pug/Poodle called Benji, but he hates phones and loves me so I can never actually get a good shot of him.
As you can see, this fake lizard and this real lizard are virtually indistinguishable.
Today is the day for a vet visit, and a claw trimming (they've gotten a good bit longer than in this picture, it's from around a year ago.) As far as she's concerned, I'm gonna ruin her life today. For anyone who's about to suggest this, yes, I'm looking into slate tile!

Not quite mine, but I'd like to introduce you to Simpkins IV. He arrived at our college in 2000, just a wee kitten of a few months. I first met him in 2013 when I started university and fell in love with him immediately. He was a bit temperamental but when he was in a good mood he'd sit on your lap purring away while you pet him. Absolutely loved getting scratched on the chin. Unfortunately he developed a tooth infection some time in 2015 that he never really recovered from and left him unable to eat properly, and he had some thyroid problems as well. He passed away in the summer of 2016, this is one of the last photos I have of him that I took towards the end of June 2016.

He was the closest thing I ever had to a pet, I still miss him.
She showed up on my doorstep one day and never left. I present to you, Derpcat and her little one:

Dog is 12 going on 13, but unfortunately he's been showing fatigue for the pass year and will get examined tomorrow. I don't know if this is going to be his last night with me, so I'm hoping the best whatever option the vet takes.
For now, I'm just going to be depressed once he's gone.
my dog that passed away before i got bandit showed a lot of fatigue and we had to put him down due to cancer

12 days ago I adopted the most adorable little kitty named Merci.
She's a one-year-old mixed-breed. Smart as hell, and really playful. A bit too playful.
Actually so playful I had to build a protective wall around my bed with bookcases to keep her from pouncing on my face at night. :vs:
Aside from that, she's great.
That is a very beautiful cat but you may want to put her in [t] [/t] tags so she doesn't actually appear real-life sized on my monitor.
Forgot that my phone shoots pics in 4k (and those are big on full size) :plsunderstand:
I can't post any pictures right now, but I feel like this is the best thread to ask for some advice with helping my old cat get more comfortable in this house with two dogs.
A little rundown of the situation: Lou (my cat) lived in an apartment with only three people (myself included) for about four years, so he didn't get much time to be social with other people or animals.
Two years ago, we move in with a family of 4 where they have a dog of their own, so Lou has much less room to explore because of how shy he is, but for a while he got a bit friendly with the dog.
One year ago, we get a puppy, and because of the playful dynamic between the two dogs, they get overly excited every time they see or hear Lou that Lou went back to being mean to both of the dogs.
Right now, he only walks out of my room (which is also connected to the basement by catdoor) late at night when everyone else is asleep upstairs and he can explore a little bit of the main floor.
I feel terrible about how much that Lou just spends the majority of the time in only two rooms of the house, sleeping and eating. I know it's kind of a cat thing to not be the most social creature, but every time I go away for a few days, I worry even more about him because nobody really visits him, aside to feed him. I just want him to live a happier life, more comfortable with the people and dogs in this house.
TLDR; 6yr old cat spends time in only two rooms because he's afraid of dogs. How can I help him be less afraid, happier, and explore more?
you'll have to create passages the cat can use to move to stay out of the dog's reach or limit the dog's access to certain rooms. for our old cat I set up bookshelves and set up boxes and cupboards in a manner so it would need to spend a few seconds on the floor at a time.
you can also attempt to train the pup not to jump after the cat whenever they see each other and that should lessen the stampedes that happen when multiple dogs suddenly try to chase something. should be multiple guides for that online, just choose one with positive reinforcement. may not work due to breed though.
it really sucks when the floor is a no-go zone for the cat, I've been there and it took a while to fix. luckily half of our dogs are chill with cats so the floor was lava for him only when the hyperactive ones were spending time indoors.
