When I was in NYC we went into a Starbucks and someone left after paying for a Frappucino but not collecting it. They gave it away and I got it. Free drink.
interesting topic, i'm going there in 2 weeks :D But it needs more interesting stuff to visit, so more tips?
asking for tips to discover new york without telling us what you like (history/nature/buildings) is like going to a clothing store and asking the employee you want 'a shirt'

I find it sad that New York City is more hospitable than Boston right now. I miss living in the south, people are nicer there. :v:
everyone's really mad and short-tempered there, there is also lots of honking. i didn't like it. i met a nice indian cab driver though, the rest were complete dickheads.

is the whole stereotype of new yorkers being really uptight true? id hate to live in a place where saying hi to someone on the street is looked down upon.
I've been in New York for two days now. Overall I like it. I could even live here if I had to :v:
