I'm replying to someone who tried to tell me that Porcupine Tree was obscure, you idiot. Way to call somebody a shitposter when insults are the first thing you throw at him/her. And don't call me a hypocrite because I said you were an idiot, that was totally called for.
If it's me you're talking about, I never once insinuated that Porcupine Tree were obscure. In fact I went out of my way to mention that they are, in the grand scheme of things, pretty damn well-known. But they aren't household names like the bands that usually make these lists are. That's all I'm trying to say.

Metal fans arguing amongst themselves is nothing new.
Metal fans arguing amongst themselves is nothing new.
prog != metal
I'm gonna go out on a limb here, doubt I'll get many agrees

Sorry.
Music fans arguing amongst themselves is nothing new.
That's more accurate.
RZA and Shaq Attack, that is a remarkable combination that surely is worthy of propelling any album involving the collaboration into a top album list. I think I am going to have to try and get hold of this album ASAP.
I hate to bring it up, but I nominated Boxer by the National on Page 5, and it got 7 agrees, but its not on the list on the first page.
OutOfExile2 (the OP) doesn't seem to be online at this moment. Just be patient, I'm sure he'll update the list once he gets back here.
[editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
One more nominee from me and then I'll stop.

I just want to say, that this album is great after a couple listens
Then a couple days later you get sick of the screechy kid voices and you never listen to it again
only decent song off this is minute to midnight, I don't understand why this album gets so much hype
But you hate everything without "post" in the genre name
that's true
[editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
but really I'm right.
[editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
But then again when am I not.
One of the biggest things that irk me about that justice album is the fact that it's not even a real album. Just a compilation of random unrelated songs. I think that's why the whole package feels so hollow to me.
It's not bad it's just overrated
I've been looking through lots of electronic recently and I haven't found an album that I'd consider listening to after a week or listening to it, they tend to lack substance or replay value
You really should listen to some Chem Bros then.

I'd consider it but I went through a long list of suggestions for electronic music over a couple months and I'm done with it for a while
What the fuck happened here? I leave for 9 hours and there's 90 posts arguing about the mainstreamness of prog, or something.
I'll just throw this in:

Is a masterpiece. My sister listened to it all the time when I was a kid, so I kind of had the songs "drummed" into me.
After relistening to it after I matured, it was amazing.
The list looks glorious, nice to see the community produce such a broad list of albums.
List needs more Yes:

The list in the OP should be fully updated now
also if anyone is new to the thread I recommend you check all the pages first, especially page 4 since like half of the albums on that page have been sitting at 4 agrees for a while now
Cool ! How many albums are nominated as for now ? How many are left ?
