I loved this show. I have seen every episode and the movie at least 3-5 times. Also river is hot. she's also a killing machine :q:
"Also...I can kill you with my brain" I totally believed her in Objects in Space too Out of Gas, is, in my opinion, quite possibly the best Firefly episode
The writer of the show said that he doesn't want to make more episodes, even if fox paid for a new season. Which is a massive nut cracker as this is the best show i've ever watched, i loved every single episode aswell as the movie.
"Also...I can kill you with my brain" I totally believed her in Objects in Space too Out of Gas, is, in my opinion, quite possibly the best Firefly episode
I am not going to start a this episode is better than that one war. Out of Gas was one of the truly great episodes, not that any were lacking. My personal favorite was Jaynestown, but that is because Jayne is my favorite character. I love Jaynestown Anthem and how he grew as a character throughout that episode. I enjoyed how Joss Whedon hinted at a crush from Jayne to Kaylee. He liked her and the only way he knew how to show it was to make rude jokes and take out his anger on Simon (the one she fell for). I love this show. It could be rekindled, but it is looking more and more doubtful. I mean the shows that are being brought/were brought back on fox are Family Guy, Futurama. Firefly was canceled after them so they would be next in line.*Crosses Fingers* They could always follow the cast and crew between the end of the show and the beginning of Serenity. That is more of a hope than a believable scenario I am afraid. Also; Mal: "You can't fuckin' tell me what to Goddamn do." Kaylee: "Goddamn do?" The bloopers on serenity are worth a watch if you haven't seen them.
I've seen Serenity but never got around to firefly due to my legal disposition on TV shows
Notice how [sp] in the Serenity Pilot episode, when Kaylee gets shot and the Doctor is performing surgery on her, Jayne's crouched outside the medical bay looking in and looking sad and worried[/sp] As for bloopers I have one thing to aay...SUMMER! I'm pretty sure most browncoats would happily ignore what happened in Serenity if the show started again
I've never seen it, I am apparently missing out.
They still show it in England (re-runs)
Morena Baccarin. :( FUCK!!! Edit:
Notice how [sp] in the Serenity Pilot episode, when Kaylee gets shot and the Doctor is performing surgery on her, Jayne's crouched outside the medical bay looking in and looking sad and worried[/sp] As for bloopers I have one thing to aay...SUMMER! But, I recently watched all of Firefly. Easily, one of my favorite shows. It was just wonderfully written. Great actors, Awesome visuals.
My personal favorite was Jaynestown, but that is because Jayne is my favorite character. I love Jaynestown Anthem and how he grew as a character throughout that episode.
What you said. Jaynestown was awesome. I think it's been at least two years since I last watched it, and me and a friend still sing that song from time to time. Also regarding the OP, Serenity was already sort of an attempt to bring it back, but the movie wasn't successful. Which I think is no wonder - at least here in Germany they didn't fucking advertise it at all. No marketing except a few posters inside or in front of the theatres themselves.
Oh yeah. Last I saw Season 1 in it's entirety is available on Hulu.com free and legal to the US.
"Mercy is the mark of a great man." *stab* "Guess I'm just a good man." *stab* "Well, I'm alright."
I have watched only the first two episodes as my friend has them and I don't. I need to steal them because I was already hooked and I loved Serenity. Also, the guy who plays Jane is now on Chuck (awesome show), so there's another one of the actors who is doing something differently.
Yeah, it was pretty funny when I watched Chuck and I was like, What the fuck? Did I just see Jayne?
I don't watch TV and only heard about Firefly after it was canceled. But I watched all the episodes and loved every single one. It's so painfully ironic that the one show that I would have watched religiously was canceled before I got to see it on TV... The Serenity bloopers were indeed hilarious. "Put Book front and center - he's our friend, we should honor him. Kaylee, find that kid who's taking the dirt nap with baby Jesus, we need a hood ornament."
[sp]I still don't know why they killed him off. To piss off fans? I guess he may as well have died, considering we won't see him again.[/sp] Also: Goddamn yeah!
Looks like she's wearing a mop on her head :tinfoil:
I love this show. I miss it. Gotta watch Serenity again today.
Boston legal, watch it and learn
Firefly was the sex. Edit: [sp] RIP Wash[/sp]
I watched Firefly for the first time over the past week or so, and fuck, it's amazing. Watching Serenity today. But I never understood how people could be so concerned about a show... but now I do.
It's so painfully ironic that the one show that I would have watched religiously was canceled before I got to see it on TV...
Same here. It's even further ironic that I'm not religious!
Looks like she's wearing a mop on her head :tinfoil:
You shut the FUCK up! Edit: Fuck it, Firefly marathon right now!
Morena Baccarin. :( FUCK!!! Edit: Serenity didn't keep my attention, in fact, I don't even remember it. But, I recently watched all of Firefly. I watched the movie first, and it didn't really catch my attention. Didn't do much to make me want to watch the show. My friend talked me into it though. I love firefly.
I'm fucking right with ya, buddy. I hate Fox now. Oh, the reason they cancelled the show is because they aired the second episode first, instead of the two part introductory episode, so there was general confusion about what was going on, as the characters had already been introduced prior to that episode. People didn't watch it as a result. The reason they did this is because, being the introduction, it was slower paced and less action oriented, and we all know how much Fox loves action. It's the reason Sliders got fucked up. More action, less of what makes these shows unique! Yeehaw!
NBC did the exact same thing with Clerks: The Animated series. I can never understand why they TV broadcasting stations do stuff like that. Thanks for reminding me about Sliders, I need to go dig up some of my old VHS's and watch a few episodes. I liked Sliders :(
Serinity is a fuckawesome movie. I haven't seen firefly though. bring it baaaaaaack
What the hell are you waiting for, go watch firefly.
A couple years late, don't you think? But, this is one of my altime favorite shows and I'm glad others agree with me.
For some reason, when FOX cancels really good shows, they get movies. I.E., Arrested Development is getting a movie. Which tells you the guys at FOX are retarded, if it was good enough for a movie, why cancel it?
Wasn't it canceled because they blew all their money on special effects and props in the first season? That's dedication.
We should get the home phone numbers of the execs responsible for cancelling our shows and harass them at night.
Hopefully it will come back, it has a massive and very dedicated cult following. It's space without Startrek and Starwars. It's gritty and funny, with brilliant characters. And SPACE COWBOYS.
We should get the home phone numbers of the execs responsible for cancelling our shows and harass them at night.
yeah let's break the law and look like a bunch of nutters that'll really make them want to bring it back
yeah let's break the law and look like a bunch of nutters that'll really make them want to bring it back
They're not bringing it back. Joss Whedon said he isn't going to go back to Firefly. Edit: And nutters reminds me of the term "bust a nut". Is that some kind of crazy British slang?
