The public needs to see the truth behind the entire situation.
I love how the majority of people claim wiki leaks "sheds light" on these situations when in reality everyone just sits around and bitches on a forum and doesn't do anything else with this enlightening info.
What can we do?
Is the page containing the documents still there
Yes, here. Anyone up for making a torrent out of that 75MB dump just in case something happens?
I love how the majority of people claim wiki leaks "sheds light" on these situations when in reality everyone just sits around and bitches on a forum and doesn't do anything else with this enlightening info.
Well, what would we do? None of us are in a position of high power.

All censorship is wrong. End of story.
They leaked way more documents than needed, if anything was particullarly disturbing and needed to be known they should have leaked those and nothing else.
They're classified, they may shed light on injustices, but it's illegal whether you like it or not.
Oh my god you're such a tool. Government should be transparent. Sure there needs to be some PR over sensitive issues, but we've fallen so far into big government and the delusion of the american dream that we need something like this to wake us the fuck up.
They leaked way more documents than needed, if anything was particullarly disturbing and needed to be known they should have leaked those and nothing else.
They got shit for editing that video so they wanted to do it right this time. [editline]01:59AM[/editline]
A torrent of classified documents. How intelligent.
It's the only sure way of keeping them alive in case Wikileaks went down. Nobody can get into trouble for sharing them, unless WL has some kind of policy against it.

There are certain things that need to be hidden in order for national safety.
Ignorance is bliss.
People need to know the truth
Where do these leaks stop? Today, it's a harmless video. Tomorrow, some serious information our enemies would love to get their hands on.
They got shit for editing that video so they wanted to do it right this time.
I guess. They just seem too prone to leaking every little thing they get their hands on. I'm surprised they haven't published army base bathroom inspection forms.
Where do these leaks stop? Today, it's a harmless video. Tomorrow, some serious information our enemies would love to get their hands on.
And that's the problem people don't understand. "Governments should be transparent" ...
Ignorance is bliss.
That it is. But suddenly you get an IED throwen in your face. :v:
Where do these leaks stop? Today, it's a harmless video. Tomorrow, some serious information our enemies would love to get their hands on.
Oh hey guys it's secret our ENEMIES ARE GOING TO FIND IT AND KILL US. No not really. Not with the 3 trillion wasted on our defense, that's for sure. Not with us being the biggest political influence. Not with us basically being the god of countries. The public has a right to know the atrocities committed.
hahahahaha, perhaps you should take a look at the leak if you think that.
I was talking about the fact that information was leaked. Not the leak.
You don't have a problem with a Government becoming transparent on their secret weapons? During the progression of my intellectual development through life experience and college education, I now find it truly horrific to ponder the state of rational ignorance in which the average american lives in.
there are just certain things that should and shouldn't be leaked
If Wikileaks can find something, so could any potential enemy. Arguments invalid.
I don't see much wrong with it, yeah it's a bit of a risk, but I'll take that risk over not knowing what went on for 20 more years. Wikileaks looks like they're being responsible about this with their harm minimization. I haven't had a chance to look over a great deal of the leak(Don't have the time to read 10K+ Pages of reports...), but it seems like there isn't much that's immediately compromising.
And that's the problem people don't understand. "Governments should be transparent" ...
ok here you go guise wanna taek are nuke codes got em rite here here ya go take kare of em
During the progression of my intellectual development through life experience and college education, I now find it truly horrific to ponder the state of rational ignorance in which the average american lives in.
Maybe you progressed too much for your own good? haha Maybe you need someone to tell you that the Government is not out to get you or its citizens?
Not with us basically being the god of countries.
lol Argument ignored
Maybe you progressed too much for your own good? haha Maybe you need someone to tell you that the Government is not out to get you or its citizens?
Didn't I see you arguing against socialized healthcare in a thread because it would expand government too much? If I didn't, I'm sorry about the accusation.
Didn't I see you arguing against socialized healthcare in a thread because it would expand government too much? If I didn't, I'm sorry about the accusation.
Nope haha.
Maybe you progressed too much for your own good? haha Maybe you need someone to tell you that the Government is not out to get you or its citizens?
But didn't you see the FEMA death camps?!?!
But didn't you see the FEMA death camps?!?!
I knew about them ages ago, but the FBI told me to pretend I never saw them.
