No, with socialism you'd depend on everyone else agreeing. Or maybe not... Again, depends on what it entails.
There can never be complete communism
Oh it can be compatible to human nature, but not without making radical changes and killing lots of people. If we shook the capitalist greed for money out of people's minds from birth it wouldn't be a problem.
I strongly disagree.
Radical left without doubt.
While I may not be a communist I can at least respect their aims. Fascism, on the other hand, I despise wholeheartedly.
I strongly disagree.
If you locked away a hundred people in a compound from their birth and told them that rain was poison and the sun was evil, they'd live their whole lives indoors.
There can never be complete communism
Give me a good reason why it's impossible. It may be unlikely but there's no reason it's completely impossible.
Well, if you don't have a conscience, radical right would give you better quality of life if you would be rich or even moderately wealthy.
What we need is technocracy mixed with socialism.

In the short term maybe, but you may say something your glorious leader dislikes and then you'll be in trouble.
so one is a fairy tale utopia where everybody is happy
and the other is a militarist dictatorial state where your opinion doesn't matter
hmmmmmm

thank god in communism you don't have any posessions, so if your glorious leader dislikes you, they can just send you to the gulags or the NK-equivalent
Communist but not Stalinist

That isn't true communism.
Fascism is a government. Communism is a economy. :v:

Communism is both economic and government.

Yeah and in dreamworld-facism there is nobody to fight as everybody sees the glorious ideas, and we all have puppies and cupcakes.
I think that it should be made clear whether this is "facism vs communism how it will wind up to" or "facism vs dreamworld communism" - I'd just love having all the nice cars and possessions and food and health and love because glorious communism is superb to anything there is and will be.

If you wish to have cupcakes and puppies, you'll need to please the glorious leader and he'll decide whether you need them or not in dream-world fascism. Rather than the people deciding if they need cupcakes and puppies than the plausible slightly less dream world Communism.
That's not Communism.
Neither is dreamworld-fascism, as there is nobody to fight as everybody embraces fascist ideas with open hands!
But in reality both will wind up to shit.
If this is all about theories, I'd say Evilkingism is the best there is - everybody get a free puppy AND a racing car! And tap-water is replaced by tap-wine! Now, how cool is that?
A dictatorship is a dictatorship, what name you give it is of little importance.
I wouldn't want to live in either,
I don't think many people could really live in either.

Yeah but the puppy is an ugly mutt, the racing car is old and slow and the tap wine tastes horrible, while evilking is there with his cute puppy, a fast racing car and expensive wine.
Pick your poison.

The question isnt if you want to live in either, its if if you had to choose. Ofcourse you don't want to live there, but you need to choose for this specific poll.

I want to live in communism.
I choose communism, because: http://gizmodo.com/5685044/the-heart-of-the-soviet-missile-defense-system-seems-out-of-this-world
68 short-range Gazelle interceptors!
Radical left erryday anyday.
ITT: No one correctly knows what communism is.

I believe I have a strong idea of what communism is.
Fascists tend to have the coolest looking uniforms.
So fascist.
Facism

vs
Communism

I would definatly prefer communism.
It would depend on the circumstances, but I suppose that with what little information there is I'd have to go with communism. I mean, past "communist" societies have been pretty terrible, but the argument can be made that it was because those were agrarian societies that made a leap to a corrupted version of communism. I personally don't believe communism can work, but again, the argument can be (and has been) made that that's simply because we haven't seen a true communist utopia before.
True Communism would never work in the real world, take judges for example. In the UK many, many years ago they had to raise the amount of money a judge got paid in order to make taking bribes less worth the risk for them. The simple fact is people are greedy, they will not share what they have with people doing jobs that aren't as important as them. No country has tried to implement true communism because of this.
Fascism plays off the human instinct for competitiveness, you want to be the best so you work hard, the harder you work the more money you get, the more money you get the happier you are (in Fascism). In reality true fascism is more likely to work than true communism, is just in human nature. We all play online games because we like the competition, if there was a game where everyone would end up with the same score no matter how many times you died or killed would anyone still play? That is why Communism would fail.
