well of course communism because its just a way to deal with money not a basis for laws or anything like that and if you think about it star trek is communist
Real Communism, not Stalinism.
You're talking about totalitarian governments, not just fascist or communist. That being said, fascism is probably the worst form of government, ever. I would rather live under an emperor.
Real Communism, not Stalinism.
...Pretty sure that was real communism, with the human element adding corruption, like in any form of government. Just look at how wonderful China is
That's the whole point... Communism is an idea, can't be implemented... It's an utopia, and will remain that way...
never say never (or cant) first it would not be a utopia because even there things would be changing and improving and its not impossible as long as they can make enough resources to keep the people happy and educate them to not have a to many kids
With that said, I'm actually sort of shocked that there are people in this thread excited or happy, even enthusastic about the idea of a communist form of government actually being a good idea. Has history taught you nothing? Or do you actually believe you can do it better, like people in history also thought and failed miserably?
...Pretty sure that was real communism, with the human element adding corruption, like in any form of government. Just look at how wonderful China is
Stalinism was no where near Communism, more Socialist with a bit to totalitarian thrown in.

How screwed up is your way of thinking? Where is the money going to come from when the people who generate the money, you know, the entrepeneurs and innovators decide to leave the country when the majority of their earnings go to people that don't contribute anything to society or don't work nearly as hard? I can't believe people honestly believe the ones that work hardest are going to pull everyone else's weight and put up with it. They have the money to up and leave, so where will your money come from? The bankrupt corrupt government? Yeah sure. Please explain your grand master plan to me, I'm dying to know how new "technology" will "revolutionize" the idea of communism and implement it without corruption or human exploitation, when the powers that be that want it implemented are corrupt to begin with, which is WHY they want it implemented in the first place.

No im not saying im going to force how many, but im going to educate people. after that you use machines to take a lot of the repetitive jobs away making the people that do work dio it because they want to and because they can see how there job helps people. the reason why there would be no corruption is because if they were able to get enough resources to people then they would not need to take things because they could get everything for free

Both Russia and China (Leninism (later Stalinism) and Maoism, respectively) were tailor fit to agrarian societies. That said, I don't think it can work either.

When they started becoming successful, the bums and lazy types that contributed nothing caught wind of the success, moved in, and overran these small societies and ultimately caused their collapse because they outweighed the people doing work. They contributed very little in the way of progress, but reaped and abused the benefits. It's always the human element in the equation that has made communism fail time and time again.
Both are utopias, the way to it is the most awful part. Fascism it is then.
Comparing both Fascism and Communism in theory, Communism sounds a lot better.
good thing machines arent lazy, in fact they are the perfect slave because they dont have feelings and will work 24/7
This is the biggest god damn LOL I have gotten all year.
Think of it this way fascists of this thread: Communism = equality for all Fascism = Equality for some Communism = for the people Fascism = for the elite Communism = People own the means of production Fascism = The state owns the means of production Be honest facepunch, you're not rich or powerful and therefor would not fit well in a fascist government.
...Pretty sure that was real communism, with the human element adding corruption, like in any form of government. Just look at how wonderful China is
No. Most Communists today believe and aim for Leninism and Trotskyism, from what I've read.
This is the biggest god damn LOL I have gotten all year.
I hope you understand my point of the difference between then and now

Communism is equality for all, no matter how hard you work or even how lazy you are. That is the key bit, people will be lazy if they can be. If you don't get any reward for working hard what is the point in working hard? Communism is good in theory but can never be put into practise as humans are flawed.
My family is upper middle class, does that count?
well if they figured out how to make real communism it would help you because even you have some restrictions to resources [editline]9th November 2010[/editline]
Have you actually read any of the anti-Communism posts in this thread?
there are many people that work hard without pay, like people that take care of animals or the ones that feed the homeless, not to mention that most people would get very bored of doing nothing all day
There are many more people that don't work and get benefits from the government. Even with just a couple of lazy people Communism would fail.
I hope you understand my point of the difference between then and now
Oh sure, machines will do all of mankinds work while we go chill at the beach, sipping pina colada's and reaping the benefits. We'll never have to work again! Yay technology. It will replace all of mankinds jobs. The perfect solution.
Communism, because it's one of the only government systems designed NOT to have a winner.
Communism, because it's one of the only government systems designed NOT to have a winner.
Communism's never properly been exercised in society though as it doesn't exactly work.
I'd live in a communist society to see what it was like. I think I might actually like it. Beats the hell out of a fascist society any day.
