Fascism.
of course the Republican would say that
Both extremes are ridiculous but I voted Fascist so I could get some action
With a Lenin avatar.
There's really not much of a difference. Syndicated Fascism, communism, even Nazism often lead to the same living conditions. Merely the outlooks are different with communism focusing more on the brotherhood of all man, with Nazism essentially focusing on the brotherhood of the nationality and fascism actual names the situation correctly - the party is the state. For normal people the situation hardly changes at all. There's just less rich in communism.
Hypothetical Question: If you had to live in either a radical leftist society, or a radical right-winged society, which would you decide, and why? It's just a fun little question that I've asked a group of friends before and it was just amusing to listen to the conversation. Eventually we agreed that even though they're complete opposites, they seem quite similar once you sit and think about it.. Perhaps the political spectrum makes a full circle if you stray too far to the left, or right. Oh and for you political noobs: Radical Leftist= Communist (Or radical socialist. Whatever.) Radical Rightist= Fascist. You have to decide between left or right, nothing in between.
To the person in the OP. COMMUNISM 2012.
It honestly depends. If it was a country where virtually everyone held the same beliefs, then of course Fascism would be a good option. But in reality, out of those two Communism is the best. Both are still shitty options for a modern society and I would much prefer Socialism.
Communists are worse than Nazis. The last anti-communist partisan in Poland (in 60's) has been decapitated and the rest of his body was sent to his family.
People who are saying communism cannot work are just parroting some hypothetical claim without knowing anything about its structure or function. Just shut up.
the true opposite of Fascism is anarchy.
People who are saying communism cannot work are just parroting some hypothetical claim without knowing anything about its structure or function. Just shut up.
Communism is hypothetical [editline]10th November 2010[/editline] Did you join just to say that?
People who are saying communism cannot work are just parroting some hypothetical claim without knowing anything about its structure or function. Just shut up.
In Soviet russia, YOU are shut up for saying that communism doesn't work
Communism.
I was thinking more of an Augustus or Caesar, I would rather live in Nazi Germany than the Imperium, that would be the worst.
Psssh I meant pre-Heresy Imperium before the 40k equivalent of the religious right fucked it up
Radical right any day. I'm you're average straight white guy so race or anything wouldn't be a problem and I believe you should make your income based on your job, not on what everyone elses income is. Plus you couldn't live in a Communist nation if you wanted to because like history shows, it would never get past the dictator stage. Radical racism/anti-semitism has been shown from both sides anyways.
Hitler got things done, like a beast.
Last I checked, Jews still exist.
Communism by far. A main component of totalitarian governments is the invasion of the private sphere. Friends and family essentially watch over you and are absolutely obligated to report to the state. In a Fascist government you would be in a constant state of revolution seeing as the revolution is the means to an end as well as the end itself. Both are revolutionary in nature though, but at least communism doesn't violate that intimate area. at least hypothetically, in practice neither works.
Communism and Fascism aren't radical opposites. What the shit.
Psssh I meant pre-Heresy Imperium before the 40k equivalent of the religious right fucked it up
Yo Johnny, it's wakka, hit me up on steam.
Then you're a brainwashed person. I feel pity for you.
Yes, I am sure he has been brainwashed to love facism.
Communists are worse than Nazis. The last anti-communist partisan in Poland (in 60's) has been decapitated and the rest of his body was sent to his family.
Capitalism is closer to fascism and "evil". Once a country reaches super power status it cannot sustain itself without fucking another country up. This is called imperialism. It's done either by direct occupation of another country or by fucking it up even more royally by indebting it and enslaving the people into decades of poverty. One example of this is the IMF handing out loans to poor countries (of which they will never be able to pay off). This is why Africa is such a shit hole today. South America is just recovering from the long lasting effects of colonial occupation (such as the ruling elite) by way of major democratic revolutions. Many of which with a socialist fervor.
welcome back
welcome back
:unsmith: Too bad I couldn't get my old body back, I miss him.
If you think about Pure Communism, then something close to a utopia may come to mind, but when you put those thoughts into the real world, they bite you in the ass and turn your dream into something depressing. But I can still dream.
You could consider Hitler a good leader since he got Germany out of a crisis.
On a far more serious note, this is precisely why I chose it over communism. Can I have a fascist communist dictatorship? [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] If not, perhaps a socialist/capitalist society.
seems like a lot of you are missing on some info here Soviet Russia was stalinist, not communist. They were fascists. Nazis were fascists. Fascism is left-wing.
It doesn't work. It hasn't worked. It never will work. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] Fascism is wrong, but it works.
How about instead of saying that it will or will not work, give a brief explanation as to why you think that. :downs:
How about instead of saying that it will or will not work, give a brief explanation as to why you think that. :downs:
He'll just use the human nature argument again, although I believe that's already been said once in this thread.
He'll just use the human nature argument again, although I believe that's already been said once in this thread.
Does that same argument apply to nomadic people, Indians, and tribesmen? Does it apply to people of eastern descent that live in collectivist cultures? Greed was introduced with the advent of capital (i.e. :10bux:).
