Does Bill Nye count?
Schindler's List
My film class watched A fistful of dollars. Other than that, whenever we had nothing to do in class, the teachers ALWAYS popped in Madagascar, I've seen the beginning of the movie probably 20 times and never finished it.
I guess Saving Private Ryan for US History.
I wanna go to your school if they seriously let you watch Saving Private Ryan. Movies have always sucked for me at my school. But we watched America: The Story Of Us one time Can't wait til we watch another episode, it's a great show.

Truman show during a psychology class.
Band of Brothers All of it
The Pianist. I only got to see like half of it but I didn't know how fast I needed to get my hands on the rest of it.

Picking this over Saving Private Ryan and such films because everyone's seen them.
Pulp Fiction

Black Hawk Down. Granted it WAS a military academy.
Watched in my Cognitive Psychology class. On the test we were asked to link certain scenes and moments back to theories of encoding and short-term/long-term memory in our essays. Great course!
Spartacus.
The film based off the short story and novel, Flowers For Algernon. I think it was called Charles. Not sure.
inception
The Breakfast club.

It scared the everlasting shit out of me but I still love it.
That my school made me watch, hmmm. They're have been quite a few good ones actually but off the top of my head is the most recent one with "It's a wonderful Life"
memento
"She's too Young" in health class About an 18 year old getting bjs from half the freshmen girls in the highschool (14-16) and giving them all syphilis

I strained my ears to hear the dialogue. I saw this in 8th grade, and my damn classmates wouldn't stop talking to appreciate the film. Seems to me that they think black and white equates to boring. Needed a few laughs.
Both already mentioned, but Forrest Gump and The Pianist. Same course. It was a pretty enjoyable course, actually.
