I mean avoid those. I'm saying, create a situation or a scene that depicts the service or product without the use of the product. That job search engine advertisement up there doesn't have a computer, internet or anything. It shows a guy who's in the wrong job. I did a project like this back in college, it got a lot of people thinking creatively. I made the picture below for a dietary supplement, the ad said something like "hunger attack?"; the dietary thing was an appetite suppressant. it involves food (obviously a mcdonalds fry container), but no picture of the appetite suppressant itself is shown.
god, I already was craving mcdonalds fries even before I opened this thread Now I have to get up and drive to the store just because of you, are you happy??
Yes. [editline]1:11[/editline] AND NOW YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU NEED APPETITE SUPPRESSANTS LOOK HOW AWESOME THAT WORKS
I might participate in this... Considering I have a D40. Any tips for a beginner?
Oh by the way we're using Dai's idea.
anybody actually doing this? I haven't had time to shoot anything that wasn't at my desk this week (again). Also suggestion for next theme: "MEGA macro"- make small things look big, or big things look small
I've been too busy with my 365 and gym.
Well that was a failure. I'm going to wait to do these until they're actually wanted.
I'll start participating when I get the film development chemicals. I got the scanner, just need to be able to develop my own film so that I don't have too wait a long time before I can post.
Well that was a failure. I'm going to wait to do these until they're actually wanted.
maybe we can make the challenges photoshop-contest style, where there's an ongoing topic people can continue to submit to when they can get around to it.
maybe we can make the challenges photoshop-contest style, where there's an ongoing topic people can continue to submit to when they can get around to it.
That could work. But for this thread I think what we mostly need is a subject first.
Either that, or do bi-weekly or monthly until it picks up again.
I really think we need to keep this thread going so it doesn't die, and it's fading fast. How about this week's topic is "Self Portrait", and we don't really need a twist. That's a very open and easy topic. I really don't want this thread to go away.
I'd be happy to keep it going, I just don't see the point if nobody's interested. If at least 5 people want it back, I guess I will continue it.
Hasn't self portrait already been done?
I'll get onboard for any new contest. Promise. Anyone else?
I will...

I might be interested depending on the deadline... Need to know if I can shoot some stuff, and get it developed in time.
I'm interested.
I'm interested.
Alright, we can do self-portrait. The contest won't end until there are a good amount of entries this time. [editline]28th June 2011[/editline] This week's topic: Self-Portrait

ooh, I remember the pocket project. Cool beans and I say you can submit more than one, but you must choose one as the final entry if there's a bunch of entries, so no one gets confused
