most ridiculous horror film IMO. i remember watching it with some females in the neighborhood and they were cowering the whole time. I was just like :what:.
I have a clownophobia due to that movie, true story.
Pennywise is a cunt
Terrible movie, but Tim Curry is awesome as the clown; and it does have a ton of nostalgic value for me. The adults are all terrible actors, and have some ear piercingly bad lines.
It saddens me how so many people seem to have watched the movie, yet almost none of them have read the book. Seriously people, the movie is nothing compared to the book.
The movie was a bit too cartoonish for me. The book is really gruesome with some pretty disturbing scenes but they left all those out of the movie and basically turned it into a comedy.
I heard the remake will be a R rated movie, with more gore. The original was basically a horror movie for kids
I love this book, but seriously King. That part towards the end after they kill the damn thing. I understand why it's in there, but was it really necessary to describe underage kids having a gangbang in the pitch dark sewers in such vivid detail? It was seriously the only part of any book I've ever read that made me feel dirty for reading it.
Fucking this.
the book was great the movie sucked balls they are remaking it so hopefully that one will be better
Hahahahahahaha!
Tim Curry's performance as pennywise carries this entire fucking movie, it's so great. Without him, it would fall apart at the seams.
Saw the movie when I was like 11 in TV, proceeded to shit massive bricks.
I love this book, but seriously King. That part towards the end after they kill the damn thing. How the fuck does that even work out, or fit into the story, or... :byodood:
I watched this a young kid. Big fucking mistake.

But it's still damn creepy because she has a description for how each of the boys feel in her.
BEEP BEEP Richie! They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!
I so have to see this movie.
Hello, Georgie. I'm Pennywise, the dancin' clown. Want a baloon? They all float down here... Tim Curry was amazing as It. I heard they are making a full-length movie or something, is that true?
That was a full length movie... Just because it's a remake they're making now doesn't mean the movie released on TV wasn't a full length movie.
I heard stories my friends told me about how scary this was, then recently, a friend found it on DVD and we sat down to watch it. Funniest movie of all time.
Just watched the first half of it, was hilarious and the least scary thing I have ever seen...
nostalgiad so hard over this thread, just bought the book online :buddy:
Started off pretty nice, got worse as the plot progressed. Mediocre movie. The clown was creepy though.
Tim Curry was awesome in this role. I've never been scared of clowns so this film didn't affect me at all.
I hear Jack Earl Haley is open for a horror movie :P
He'd make a great Pennywise. The only beef I have with this film is that it did not by any means live up to the book. It cut a lot, and some was important.
