Yea i had to make this account to inform you that the lost password system is broken, It Fails to send you the Email which contains the link to reset your password.

We know the e-mail system is broken.
It's more the your email provider's fault than Facepunch's (as they pretty much all block emails coming from Amazon hosting). If I had a spare computer sitting around that I could configure into a mail server for Facepunch to use I would donate it, but alas I am too poor to have more than one computer.
How about newly registered users? They have to click a link in the email to complete registration right?

I don't recall approving an account of his. I don't have to approve all new accounts it's just a fallback if they don't get an email.
