Yes! Why the holy heck ain't this one fixed? I've been trying to figure this out for ages and I hate seeing peoples names. I only generally use FacePunch to post by myself and when I see other people I start shitting my pants with anger. Come on Compwhizii, dev of FP™, fix this for the rest of us like me!
Yeah I figured it out I never said I fixed it.
but you know what the problem is, so you can fix it.. right?
Yeah I know how to fix it there was just technical roadblocks to getting it fixed.
Dude, comp, btw, can we get Signatures back on, dude? I've already got some imgs lined up and I don't wanna waste some real jpeg gold. I've been readin' up on that coding biz you do and all you have to do just code it in. Pretty simple, eh? Looking forward to it man, keep up the great work!
BUG REPORT TIME!
Threads with slashes in their names automatically 404 in at least Chrome when you click them in the thread list.
Here is the thread's address, for example:
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1024943-Living-in-a-small-town/city.
However, you have to change the slash to a - to make the thread actually come up, IE:
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1024943-Living-in-a-small-town-city.
I think threads with .jpg etc in the end don't work either
It's still stuck like that? Can you do a hard refresh? Clear cache?
Still the same after clearing the cache.
Chrome? That's a rendering bug I can't fix that. Scrolling up and down over it should fix it.
More like a css error.
You should be designing with webkit as the standard comp, not gecko.

Seriously? That's a pretty bad bug in the software, I'll have to report that to the vBulletin devs and see if I can patch it manually for now.

You could just make it so that / \ @ * etc. aren't allowed in thread titles just like folder names on the PC, couldn't you?
[editline]10th November 2010[/editline]
Unless that sort of thing is coded into vBullietin and I have no idea what I'm talking about :v:
Or he could just fix it so any title works
What's really confusing is that the regex works when I test it.

Why is it that facepunch turns into blank white every so often?
I clicked the thread mentioned with the slash, it works fine. It automatically put the dash in there.
I clicked the thread mentioned with the slash, it works fine. It automatically put the dash in there.
I edited the title.
I edited the title.
Oh.
Oh.
There's one in Fast Threads for specifically this purpose if you still want to see it for yourself. :v:
Once again, though, I haven't tried it in any other browser besides Chrome, but I'm assuming it's just a broken thing.
Comp in the search can you add what section posts are in
and maybe fix the background too
When you go to a thread directly from the main page (From the "Last post" thing), it doesn't detect you've read the thread and when you go to corresponding subforum, it's still there with X new posts.
Comp, I really dunno what happened -maybe it was my browser or whatever (Opera 10.63)-, but whenever I wanted to rate somebody, no matter what rating I clicked on, It took me straight me straight to the FP homepage, like so...
Clearing cookies and cache did the trick, but I just wanted to point it out to ya.
By any chance has that ever happened to anybody before??
