off the top of my head, those are from syfy formally scifi a somewhat dying cable channel.
My irrelevant comment was more along the lines of "but surely it's too obvious to even mention." The whole, UK-US population difference. Network differences. Time shares. Audience share. All that good stuff.
10 million is a record breaking figure in UK tv these days. The heyday of 20+ million viewership is long gone.
That was awesome. Anyone got a pen?
What an.. ironic end.. ;)
The Brand New Smegging Series is Smegging Marvellous
Anyone else think each episode gets better and better?
I was expecting the synchronicity to be used to win the poker game.
That last episode was genius.

Not really if I'm honest, I'm still enjoying it alot but they are about the same really, the video dad part is still the funniest part of X.
I think it's been consistent in terms of quality so far. Classic Dwarf with a bit of spin here and there that really got me.

Personally I find the humor is becoming more like the classic episodes. With Ep 1 being the least and 4 the most. (Ok, maybe a good part of Lemons was the exception)
Perhaps 'better' was the wrong term.
Another enjoyable ep.
Sadly, the ending next week... and the beginning.
Twas awesome!
Any idea if they are gunna do another season after X?

Episode Six is supposed to bring some closure to Series Eight, and is titled "The Beginning" which mirrors the first episode, "The End."
Whether this is a sign, we shall see. But for Dave, I expect a continuation relies heavily of DVD sales.
I hope they do make more. Red Dwarf isn't the kind of show that has a definitive end really.
I think it'll be inevitable if DVD sales do well.
Should pre-order my copy soon, now I think about it.
If it airs in the US and it's popular as well as other places then I bet it'll be back with more. There was an interview that if they go back to making a movie they want to both do the movie and the tv series at the same time then one at a time, like how they did last time.
Take a look at THIS promo picture for episode six...
...then take a look at this link, too... [sp]http://i.imgur.com/jP48L.png Time to find out what happened to the crew?[/sp]
The team have kindly given us a reversible cover to match the rest of the DVD sets :)

[sp]oh go it's a comeover![/sp]
It's about to get cold outside, for potentially the final time.

Knowing the weather in the UK, it probably won't
Right? RIGHT?!

You killed my brother

That was such an awesome episode.
[sp] Im sure there is a new season [/sp]
Rimmer was AMAZING
Rimmer you magnificent bastard.
The Series 8 finale gag was genius. Classic Dwarf response.
I really hope they do another series, they've proved they still have it.
So happy for Arnold
I really thought the guy said, "you kiss my brother", but I think he ment "kill my brother".
wait looking back definitely said kiss.
"Sometimes you live, you die, and then you live again"
Do people laugh out loud at this? I watched the first episode of the new series and didn't even smile. I am not trying to cause an argument in here, just interested to know, because it didn't seem laugh out loud funny to me.
Have you watched any of the previous nine?
Thirteen years since the previous series, it understandably relies on having a certain relationship with the characters - as it's glory years are long gone. Dwarf has a unique style of humour. For example, I just said nine series. But the ninth series only existed in-universe, off-screen, so our DVD collections will go from 1-8, then 10 (with the 2009 specials in the middle).
