If I was a tool then my hand would be a wrench. :downs: Seriously though, playing an instrument takes much more skill and intellect than playing football.
Hah, what? I played linebacker and that shit was mentally demanding. So the defense is Cougar Cover 1 Strong Blast. Being the weak side backer, I know that the strong side backer will be blitzing, which will leave his area wide ass open if he gets blocked. There's a man in motion to my side. Gotta watch him, might be a jet sweep. Got the running back eying a defensive end, thinking he's gonna go for a block. Possibly pass play then. Quarterback is sweeping his eyes, most likely a pass. Ball is snapped. Trying to keep an eye on the tight end heading my way and another one on the backfield. Fake handoff, screaming pass. Shit, the tight end is coming to crack me. Shit, the offensive line is letting our linemen through, fucking screen. Screaming screen. God damn gotta get this tight end off of my ass. Mike backer is tying up the running back who caught the ball for the screen. Put a swim move on the tight end and take an angle to intercept. Cornerback is diving for his legs so I gotta go high. There's just so much shit you have to watch and keep track of. It may not require academic intelligence, but it requires intuition and intelligent reflexes. Playing an instrument requires some dexterity with your hands, but intelligence? Give me a break. You learn the notes and then play the notes as their shown on the paper. You don't have to make reflexive decisions that could make or break the performance. You don't have to keep track of 11 different people at one time, analyzing all the possibilities of stuff they could do. All while keeping track of where the first down marker is and your field position. Not saying playing an instrument is easy, but there's no way it's harder than playing serious football.
I was playing the smash hit 3rd person shooter Dead Space on my laptop earlier today, and the vision of an armored necromorph was still fresh in my mind when I clicked on this thread. As I scanned through the thread, your posts struck me as quite simple and shallow. Then at the end of page two it hit me. The true Dead Space is the space between your ears.
That was clever.
Running around a field jumping into a pile of sweaty smelly men and playing an instrument are 2 very different things. One takes some sort of skill, the other is just throwing your body around enjoying the feel of others sweat all over yourself.
Blowing into a tube and plucking some strings and football are 2 very different things. One takes some sort of skill, the other is just making certain noises enjoying irritating sounds. I'm sorry for dissing music, but it's to prove a point. You're boiling football down and making it sound bad.

I recall watching a few matches when I was in America two years ago. Was a bit confusing but entertaining nonetheless.
As a running back, I respect linemen more than anyone else on the field. Those big mamma jammas kept me from getting clobbered every play. I was lucky to be blessed with an offensive line of huge dudes that could run. Each of our tackles were about 6'2"-6'3" and ran about 4.8 40 yard dashes, which is quick as balls for a big man. The guards were a tad slower. Our center was a monster. Played both sides of the ball, about 6'4" and was pure muscle. Benched about 550 pounds and squatted 600+ pounds. We could never max him out on squats because our bars couldn't hold enough weight. He also ran about a 4.8 40. Shit was insane, haha.
I'm around 6'3" right now but my dad's 6'7" and he and my grandpa played at the same University. My 40 is a 5.3 which could be better but I'm working on it. Like I mentioned, my team went 0-11 but that's because half our starting players were sophomores cause our seniors suck so bad. I'm a sophomore and still growing (got an x-ray for knee problems, growth plates wide open)and our team's tallest person was the tight end who was 6'5". I was the second tallest on the whole team which right there tells you how small we were. I haven't been able to squat for a while and recently started again because of aformentioned knee problems which my dad had too. I'm not sure of my squat max but at the end of my freshman season, even when I couldn't squat the whole time during the season, it was around 300. My bench at the end of my freshman season was 230 and I'm not sure what it is now. In comparison my bench at the start was 145. I've been working on it for a while now and I feel confident it's much higher. There's a junior at the school I'm going to who is 5'9", benches 435 and squats 600 which is pretty crazy. Our center this year was only 5'8"! This year I missed half the season because I tore my MCL in the practice before our first scrimmage and I was supposed to start that game. That pretty much ruined my season because of all the rehabilitation. I also have patellar tendonitis (Jumper's Knee) which really limits my ability to squat but it's almost better.
Is that suppose to be insulting?
No not at all, butt humping is as straight as a person can be.
that is why i love having RC access. sometimes you do get some people that whine and whine. Funny as hell.
The kewl posts I make in the Refugee camp are like this. I've torn the tendons in my ankles multiple times, which made it practically impossible for me to cut. I still had insane straight shooting speed and could run sweeps like a madman, but I wasn't going to juke anyone out. Had to bulk up and get strong in order to just plow people over instead. I don't play ball very much any more but my ankles still give me problems. I've also torn muscles on my back, so those give me problems too. We had to do really deep squats when we maxed out. The rule that our coach made was that our ass had to tap the floor, so our max numbers were pretty low. I think the most I ever did going that low was around 350.
But do those people actually compose music for the instruments they play, if not then they are obviously doing something wrong. :clint: Running around a field jumping into a pile of sweaty smelly men and playing an instrument are 2 very different things. I still don't understand (and probably never will) why I am a Buffalo Bills fan... I guess it's because my dad is from Buffalo and I can relate with them because when I played football in high school our team was always compared to Buffalo Bills by the coaches and my former teammates.
Devin Hester: the best football butt [editline]02:00AM[/editline] Whats good fellow Bills fan :respek:

Hey guys, I just ought to add something to this. Hunterbrute: Violin and football are two completely different things? How can you compare them? They both require different skillsets and people. Also, if you ever think that a violin will get you anywhere with the ladies, have a good time being Mr. 50 year-old virgin
Also, if you ever think that a violin will get you anywhere with the ladies, have a good time being Mr. 50 year-old virgin
Oh it gets you places with some very fine ladies, mostly asian though. :q:
Hey bro, sorry to break it to ya, but most women would prefer a football player over a orchestra nerd. You know, other than lesbians.
Hey bro, sorry to break it to ya, but most women would prefer a football player over a orchestra nerd. You know, other than lesbians.
Yeah but its common knowledge that all football players would prefer the tight sweaty ass of another football player.
I find it hilarious that you just keep trollin through here. Imina get some sleep, why don't you go jack off to Beethoven or some crap. kthxbai
