bitch whaaaat portal 2 was brilliant
My mistake, indeed Portal 2 was gold.
Valve is a business. Business exists to make money. There are no morals lmfao and if anything valve still acts quite nice to their users, they could be much, much worse. Imagine being naive enough to think they are driven by passion, they are adapting to new markets and making bank. Why create a game for comparitively meagre profits?

Dota 2 owns and is doing well that's all I care about [editline]13th October 2016[/editline]
Diretide is just another example of people becoming frustrated at the complete lack of community interaction with Valve. If you want a more recent example, check out this thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/4usfwb/why_valve_is_truly_a_terrible_company/
"Why valve is a truly terrible company" Oh jeez
I still think they're a good company, they just changed the direction of where they wanted to go to pursue the dream of VR and that's perfectly fine. I'm also pretty sure they'll unveil a new game in the next five years since Source 2 is slowly but surely coming together.
I still like Valve. Fight me.
Did he trigger you
I think it was a play on the phrase "Are you fucking gay?"
Here is my stance with valve at the moment. Its basically a love/hate relationship. Since the release of the Source 2 engine and the new SFM in the DOTA 2 tools, and VR. Its obvious that valve are still doing shit and plan on releasing stuff. What pisses me off is they need to rework their system. With the popularity of Dota 2 and CSGO, and the conundrum that is skins and TF2 hats. Valve needs to rework their structure in a way so they have two separate teams. One that focuses on game development, software, and hardware. While the other team focuses on CSGO, DOTA 2, or whatever.
Love their games. Despite their games developer. Valve can't keep up with the success and communication of rival companies anymore. People realized communities are very open armed to genuine communication, and much more forgiving to developers who interact with players and explain design choices/changes. Valve is still stuck in the idea that as long as your game has player numbers, you can do what you want with it. And they can't even do that right anymore, frequently releasing incomplete or broken updates all the while refusing to provide any form of real beta testing outside of their handful of coworkers and friends.
I think valve have made some bad missteps lately, such as basically everything CS:GO. But they also still do some brilliant work too. I probably prefer the valve of say, 5-6 years ago but they aren't really BAD by any means. Like OP complained that the last TF2 comic was 2 years ago. It's a 9 year old game! Most companies will just ditch their games after a year or two, it's amazing that valve still occasionally updates TF2. Hopefully their new office lets them have more people and eventually the backlash they keep getting gets to them.
oh, by the way if you play 3rd party servers on csgo you're account could be compromised
Good god when will people drop the Half-Life 3 shit?
There could have been a million other ways you could have worded this, and you choose this. This just makes your argument sound incredibly petty.
I can't take people who try to use gay as an insult in 2016 seriously.
