It's a good thing I don't like soda.
I should really quit smoking before I consider giving up soft drinks.
Screw you OP, I only drink Pepsi Mx/Coke Zero/diet and I think it's alot better than having a normal coke with sugar in it, besides an average can of Pepsi Max (350ml) only has 2> calories per can.
Weakens your immune system is a load of shit. I barely get sick at all, but then again, I eat "healthy" as in get proper daily meals with all nutrition factors in them. Soda is not bad when you drink it in moderation. I don't though heheheheh!
Air is full of harmful pollutants stop breathing

It rots your teeth. And makes them more sensitive. Why? Soda has the same pH level as Vinegar, 2.5. pH level measures acidity. Dr. Elson Haas, famous health author, says “Tooth loss, periodontal disease, and gingivitis can be problems, especially with a high phosphorus intake, particularly from soft drinks.” It also dissolves enamel.

It takes calcium from your bones. Dr. Michael Murray, from the Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine, concluded, “It appears that increased soft drink consumption is a major factor that contributes to osteoporosis.” Your bones break more easily too.

It weakens your immune system.

Dr. Marion Nestle, also famous health author, states, “The relationship between soft drink consumption and body weight is so strong that researchers calculate that for each additional soda consumed, the risk of obesity increases 1.6 times.” You don't want that, do you?

Diet soda is worse. The aspartame in them produces methanol in your bloodstream, and if you drink too much it's very dangerous.

Caffeine is addicting and has really bad withdrawal symptoms. Tests at John Hopkins university found that people suffering from withdrawal had not only headache, but also fatigue, mild depression, muscle pain and stiffness, flu-like feelings, nausea and vomiting.
Stop drinking this shit
How about no. I got sick from drinking juice since im allergic to most juices. Soda is my only choice [editline]12th January 2011[/editline] Everything kills us. TOYS CAN CHOKE US. STOP PLAYING WITH THEM
Most sodas have loads of sugar + sweeteners, which everyone know is no good. Since it have loads of sugar, it does damage your teeth in the long run, along with other things. I reduced my intake on soda and it's all good. Drinking water or juice most of the time, and sodas when I have a special meal, or just once in a while.
I could stop drinking soda, but I don't want to. :iia:
I stopped drinking soda like 2 years ago, juice too. Lost 20 pounds from sticking to my normal diet and just drinking water only, no exercise.
I stopped drinking soda like 2 years ago, juice too. Lost 20 pounds from sticking to my normal diet and just drinking water only, no exercise.
OP sounds like some shitty parents magazine written by a 65-year-old and this post sounds like a made-up quote for one.
That's why you don't intake 5 cans a day, fatty.
OP sounds like some shitty parents magazine written by a 65-year-old and this post sounds like a made-up quote for one.
Well his post is true, believe it or not. I have friends that also lost weight from drinking water instead of soda (They DID consume a lot per day)
I stopped drinking soda almost 2 years ago. Before that, I used to drink 3-5 cans a day.
water sucks drink gatorade
gaaaaaaaaaaaattttooorrraaadddeeeee...
I've been drinking nothing but water lately and i've been losing weight. You jelly?
About weakening immune system and making you fat, I've never been fat and I've always been skinny/average. Also, i only get colds about once a year and that's usually near winter. Caffeine is indeed addicting, but I was able to kick drinking it easily.
i stopped drinking soda ~4-5 months ago. i only drink water (occasional apple juice, orange juice, tea, ect). i had no withdrawal symptoms like in the op, and i have been drinking soda my whole life. i stopped because my teeth are rotten as shit and my family can't afford to go to the dentist regularly. water isn't too bad after you get used to it. i actually don't like soda anymore.

Hey guys you can die of old age better stop living.
So are energy drinks, and they're twice as worse as soda. In fact a shitload of stuff that tastes good is fatal
You're right, and this is why I'll keep smoking 10 cigarettes a day and having 2 Red Bulls a day - just to piss you off. Why do some people manage to get their panties in a twist about what other people do to their own bodies? I know my lifestyle's bad for me, but I like it.
I only drink water now. Soda gave me a headache.

Once your youth disappears, a soda habit will come back and bite you in the ass.

I think if you eat unhealthy + consume loads of soda (Calories + bad food = more calories = gain weight, basically). [editline]12th January 2011[/editline] Or what the above poster wrote.

[editline]12th January 2011[/editline] Or what the above poster wrote.
insulin dysregulation is more of a cause of obesity than simply an excess in calories. but even if that weren't the case, insulin dysregulation (caused by an excess of carbohydrates like sugar and starches in the diet) causes insatiety (the feeling of never being sated, of always being hungry even when you've eaten plenty). A high sugar or high carbohydrate diet is really what causes obesity, and soda is the biggest, emptiest source of carbohydrates there is.
I actually just recently stopped all soda intake. Tea, water, milk, juice, all I drink now.
screw you i can do what i want soda tastes awesome also go back to your crappy parenting magazine i only drink about a cup a day i can drink the decaf soda and it's the same
I actually just recently stopped all soda intake. Tea, water, milk, juice, all I drink now.
fruit juice is almost as bad as soda because it removes what makes fruit healthy (the fiber) and just leaves the sugar behind. Just because it's "natural" fructose doesn't make it any less harmful on the body.
automerge broke look above
screw you i can do what i want soda tastes awesome also go back to your crappy parenting magazine i only drink about a cup a day
Ignorance is bliss. But yeah, it's not like we can tell you what to do.
