I drink soda probably every other day (in large amounts) and I don't see any weight gain or any other differences

hey
all the sugar from the soda is causing insulin resistance. If you're not fat now, that's because you are young. Once your youth disappears, a soda habit will come back and bite you in the ass.
don't derail this thread with your attention whoring crap, it's enough of a mess as it is
fruit juice is almost as bad as soda because it removes what makes fruit healthy (the fiber) and just leaves the sugar behind. Just because it's "natural" fructose doesn't make it any less harmful on the body.
Get out of here, don't try and tell me that juice is just as bad as cola. There's like 0 nutrition in pop. And don't forget about the acid.
My point is, if Soda is bad for you, then cutting yourself is close to the same, but still worse.
How the FUCK is that related to this topic at all. You're just whoring attention and everyone knows it.
My point is, if Soda is bad for you, then cutting yourself is close to the same, but still worse.
I don't see how. You're ingesting chemicals directly into your system.

Today, I had basketball practice.
I was knocked over, kneed, elbowed, kicked, pushed and pretty much every other physical contact you can adjure in basketball.
All I had during that day was a bottle of pepsi and cheese string.
No broken bones at all.
A good rule of thumb for soda drinking is not at home.
If you're on a road trip or eating out, go ahead and treat yourself to it. But don't have it as an every day beverage.
Milk also has the same thing to rot away calcium
Where do people get their calcium, then, Mister Smarty Ham?

And fruit juice doesn't have much nutrition either. There isn't some magical "it's a fruit" quality that makes it automatically better: the things that make fruit healthy are the vitamins, the soluble fiber, and the relatively low amount of sugar, that is it. Fruit juice provides a much poorer level of vitamin absorption compared to eating fruit, and removes most of the fiber, just leaving the sugar behind. Fruit juice is slightly better than soda but it's still not "healthy."
Caffeine is addicting and has really bad withdrawal symptoms. Tests at John Hopkins university found that people suffering from withdrawal had not only headache, but also fatigue, mild depression, muscle pain and stiffness, flu-like feelings, nausea and vomiting.

I'm caffeine dependent. This one is true at least.
However I drink 2-3 soft drinks a day, on top of coffee and energy drinks. I still have a full set of perfect teeth.
