Also,what is a skunk?
A black and white mammal that sprays out foul smelling liquid?
Okay here it is...we just got an iguana. It is still a baby and a bit bigger than my blackberry. I've had it for about 6 days. The first day it was cool but seemed to be very calm. It would only really crawl around a bit if I had it out it's tank and in my hand or on my arm. The past two days it hasn't eaten a thing and just lays in the same place. I have read so much on the net about iguanas and I think it has me paranoid. Now, I think my iguana is sick. I keep him with good lighting. It's a sun light from the pet store. Plus he has water and greens (Collards). Over the weekend I really thought I was doing some serious bonding and he was just enjoying the atmosphere and relaxing with me. I ALWAYS pick him up with care and gentle sing him name as I stroke his back and top of neck. I want to attempt to tame him but he ain't doing nothing! Is this behaviour at all common for young igauna or is he sick? TRANSLATION: Is hte iguana stressed or is it me who is stressed. HELP!!!
My aunt used to have a biggass lizard but she had a baby and she was afraid it would eat the baby so she got rid of it.
Unless it's a fully grown monitor it wont do shit.
Do your research before you buy any pet, it's your responsibility to ensure you give it a good home. Fail to do so and you're no better than the people who buy dogs then keep them chained up in a kennel all day. Not saying you won't but your post makes it look like you're looking for a throwaway pet reptile.
You mean me? No. If not then who are you talking to? Because My house is huge and I don't work most of the day.
Okay here it is...we just got an iguana. It is still a baby and a bit bigger than my blackberry. HELP!!!
I would say both, first of all is he getting any small(er) crickets? Like baby or dwarf ones (suggested he has small food, not really greens but cherries and such)? Please list all the food you are giving him. Second of all how big is his enclosure? Third what species is he and how old is he (exactly if you can)?
Wish I could get one of those. RP_raptor's tegus looks sooo cute.

HELP!!!
Reptiles are fairly sensitive to changes in their environment, just keep offering him food and eventually he will take it. For now he may just be getting used to his new home. You can also take a look at this and offer a larger variety of food and your iguana will pick his favorite. So don't panic, my Tegu had this same adjustment period when I got her, and again after we moved to a new house as well.
You mean me? No. If not then who are you talking to? Because My house is huge and I don't work most of the day.
No I was referring to Mars7a's post. I've seen lots of people end up with sick lizards because they bought them on impulse without bothering to do any research on their environmental and dietary needs.
When I entered this thread, I just knew Roll_Program had posted some weird lizard man porn. :frogdowns:

All of you! Convert your lizards to communism and reward them with cheese!!!

I'm not looking for something cheap because I don't care about it, I'm looking for something cheap so I can ensure the lizard will have a happy environment with others of it's kind, instead of being all alone in a cage with nothing but crickets. My friend had anoles and he's already taught me alot about caring for them, so has my science teacher, so I'm thinking of anole lizards.
Bearded Dragons are my favourite however my mum wont let me have one.
Scratch anoles I just read that they are very terrotorial and anti-social. Any social lizards that can live in groups of about 5 that you suggest?

I suggest Beardies for medium, if you can support them. Other than that I suggest a smaller Iguana-type lizard.
All of you! I don't have a lizard but I have a Pueblan Milksnake.

[editline]10:09PM[/editline] I just saw their size and realized they are WAY TOO BIG for my tank.

Lizards are actually first thing baby reptilians shape-shift into.
Lizards! :buddy:
I really really really wish I could own a lizard.

Lizards are like dinosaurs but without all the awesome bird attributes.
I got bit by a long brown lizard once. It took a small chunk out of my hand and caused allot of bleeding.
No I was talking about the artist before. NOW I want to kill you. I mentioned my autism because I have aspergers syndrome, and my "fascination" is Reptiles and Amphibians.
You don't have aspergers.
Small bump, want to ask a question. My lizard is an African fat-tailed gecko, how many (dusted) crickets should I feed her with?
