I mean to just RUN the game. The whole FPS thing can be sorted out after.
Remember that it uses a very different CPU architect
I mean to just RUN the game. The whole FPS thing can be sorted out after.
IF you could get it on ARM, then yes.
Well say that I get Ubuntu on Pi, and I get the Linux version of 2k4, that should RUN right?
There are (presumably) no ARM versions of UT.
Well say that I get Ubuntu on Pi, and I get the Linux version of 2k4, that should RUN right?
You would have to recompile a version of it for ARM.
It looks like arduino but is an entire computer, crazy shit
This whole ARM Architecture seems really inconvenient for the user, but I guess it's useful to the makers?
This will be my next hardware purchase
This whole ARM Architecture seems really inconvenient for the user, but I guess it's useful to the makers?
It's low power and cheap.
This whole ARM Architecture seems really inconvenient for the user, but I guess it's useful to the makers?
There's no way you could get an x86 computer on that tiny little thing. ARM is just really convenient for smaller devices such as the Pi, phones, gaming handhelds, and other small devices. It being low power, inexpensive, and cool. I'm sure with a ton of people showing interest in the Raspberry Pi, there will be a whole community of developers for the Pi. So, if the Pi is a success, there should be plenty of usable applications for ARM computing over time.
This whole ARM Architecture seems really inconvenient for the user, but I guess it's useful to the makers?
It's useful for everyone. Low power, low heat, cheap. Of course it's going to be incompatible with x86 stuff, but it's worth the cost.
You would have to recompile a version of it for ARM.
Guess it's time to bomb the developers with requests for one final update.
I wonder if that Chrome OS would work on an ARM...?
I'm going to get one of these, this is amazing. imagine making some kind of tablet, shit would be so cash
Someone please tell me there's an ARM/Linux compatible MAME, SNES, or maybe even N64 emulator.
What would I use for the "hard drive" for this device? I'm guessing either the SD card or a fairly spacious USB thumb drive.
What would I use for the "hard drive" for this device? I'm guessing either the SD card or a fairly spacious USB thumb drive.
32GB SD cards aren't that expensive. Equivalent USB drives would probably cost slightly more. You could have both, I guess. :v: depending on what you're using it for, you can use much smaller cards, obviously
i will make it print this
You can probably hook a externally powered usb hard drive to it and have like a terabyte of storage if you wish.

Oh god that above post oh my lord
Someone please tell me there's an ARM/Linux compatible MAME, SNES, or maybe even N64 emulator.
Uhh here's you're best bet: 1) Go to: Debian package site, or Arch Linux package site 2) Search MAME and SNES/NES 3) Look at the packages and supported architectures. 4) Tada.
Oh god that above post oh my lord
yeah what the fuck
Oh god that above post oh my lord
I like how the internet has desensitised me to the point where it doesn't bother me at all.

Word processor, music, photos, and internet. I'm not expecting to do something ridiculous like run COD or Minecraft or something and I'm well aware that the ARM architecture it uses will limit the stuff I can run on it.
I like how the internet has desensitised me to the point where it doesn't bother me at all.
It didn't disgust me or anything, but it's an annoying post.
The puke thing is sort of weird considering puke has acid on it and that'd probably burn if any of it got to your urethra
I liked the one with the rectum.
Woah nelly! That's not where a wine bottle goes :J
