Just mold two halves... no need to use a laser cutter.
i got a fucking 512mb sd card stolen what won't people steal???
You should see what I drive.
You should see what I drive.
A Toyota Yaris?
A Toyota Yaris?
1992 Nissan Sentra. Or 1993, I'm not 100% sure
It can run Quake 3 with a smooth framerate. Good enough excuse to buy one. http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/MOTOACTV/MOTOACTV/MOTOACTV-US-EN It's running Google Android as OS Expensive tho
That Quake 3 demo is running at 1080p @ 4x AA FYI, so it'd probably run smoother than that if you sacrifice the AA and maybe bump it down to, say, 720p.
They'll get Jobs to showcase something someone else did five years ago but never took off?
More like they shape the thing represent a buttplug.
Some ideas are brilliant on their forum. Like putting the chip in a computer so it can be used as a back-up system
Why not use these things as dumb terminals.
Why not use these things as dumb terminals.
Nobody's stopping you from buying one to be used with a scraped down distro combined with a fullscreen VNC/RDP client.
So this uses an SD card for storage or what?
So this uses an SD card for storage or what?
AFAIK for the OS itself. Could also use the USB port(s).
AFAIK for the OS itself. Could also use the USB port(s).
I can get an 8 gig SD card for a tenner, maybe less if I look around some more. Take a guess. Hell, I might just have an unused one lying around.
Looks like it's full SD and not MicroSD which should be a tad cheaper too.
Looks like it's full SD and not MicroSD which should be a tad cheaper too.
Late and obvious.
Late and obvious.
I speak for quite a few people when I say SD basically implied MicroSD because every fucking thing that uses expandable storage uses MicroSD and I don't know anyone who calls it a MicroSD card in everyday speech
Late and obvious.
FP has ratings for a reason
I speak for quite a few people when I say SD basically implied MicroSD because every fucking thing that uses expandable storage uses MicroSD and I don't know anyone who calls it a MicroSD card in everyday speech
Really? Because I'm pretty sure the difference between a MicroSD card and a SD card is large enough that anybody should know the difference.
Really? Because I'm pretty sure the difference between a MicroSD card and a SD card is large enough that anybody should know the difference.
That's not the point. The point is that the MicroSD cards have become so popular that you really don't see anything that uses standard SD anymore (aside from cameras) so the MicroSD cards have basically taken over the SD name
That's not the point. They have shit writetimes. Every device I've bought has SDHC slot.
People must be shitty camera's if they use microSD cards. They have shit writetimes. Every device I've bought has SDHC slot.
Could you please shut the fuck up?
Could you please shut the fuck up?
Because I'm right?
People must be shitty camera's if they use microSD cards. They have shit writetimes. Every device I've bought has SDHC slot.
I have a Class 4 8GB SD card in my Xoom that can crank out a lot faster read/write than it advertises. And it's not like a photo is expensive to move from memory to storage. [editline]9th January 2012[/editline]
Because I'm right?
Well, for starters, you didn't even read my post, because I said nothing about cameras using MicroSD cards
I have a Class 4 8GB SD card in my Xoom that can crank out a lot faster read/write than it advertises. And it's not like a photo is expensive to move from memory to storage.
If I use a microsd adapter with a card on my camera, it takes a hour to transfer all of the RAW photos, about 100 pics, its a class 10. Compared to my SDHC card which is a lower class and transfers alot faster.
If I use a microsd adapter with a card on my camera, it takes a hour to transfer all of the RAW photos, about 100 pics.
Then stop buying Class 2 knockoffs. I was able to transfer about 3GB of backed-up apps from my Xoom's SD card in about 5 minutes. Again, 8GB SanDisk Class 4.
Then stop buying Class 2 knockoffs.
Read my post.
Because I'm right?
No, because you're acting like an arrogant asshole who thinks he is all high and mighty. He is trying to say that SD cards seem to be better than microSD's. It's an opinion. Or so I think he is... Anyways, I want one as well. Wouldn't mind running a server of some sort on it.

[editline]9th January 2012[/editline] Well that's your fucking problem.
Well directly insulting someone is being a asshole too.
Read my post.
What about your post? You like SDHC cards better than SD cards. It's called an opinion.
Read my post.
I don't know what kind of Class 10 SD card you're buying that takes an hour to transfer 100 raw image files. I think you're bullshitting to argue a point that's basically moot.
