Again, please find where I said that will work, or regain your composure and leave the thread.
At this point you're just flinging around insults because someone who actually knows more than you proved you wrong (funny how that works.)

Haha you're such a dumb person, a non-SDHC capable controller cannot read a SDHC card.
Get the fuck out please.
Seriously, I thought it was general logic that you could not use a SDHC card in a SD 1.0 spec device.

Give my sources a good read then reply back.

Stop. Just stop. You're not even successfully fulfilling the request I made which was to point out when *I* said that SDHC can be used in a plain ol' SD slot. You're dragging out a stupid argument that should have been over 30 posts ago, and you're trying to play it off saying that I said something not even remotely close to the point I've been making the whole page?

I'm not arguing about your facts or anything it's the fact you are arguing over something stupid. The guy even said let's continue talking about Raspberry Pi but you continued.

It's funny because even he said he was done at one point. But whatever, I'm done. It's not worth it.
Do you think the Raspberry Pi could natively compile C++? It'd be cool to have a dedicated server at home I could remote into and write some code.
I'm not arguing about your facts or anything it's the fact you are arguing over something stupid. The guy even said let's continue talking about Raspberry Pi but you continued.
I said that first, then he continued so I continued in defence as I was quite annoyed. Then he said it again, and then continued then I jumped in and defended. Then he asked for sources I gave him sources but he refuses to read and asserts he is correct. Oh well, can't bother debating with someone who is unwilling to accept a fact..
I have to ask.. is this typical?
So what are you guys gonna do when you get your raspi's? I'm gonna build mine into a keyboard, atleast I hope I will be able to.
If not, I'm sure you could find a C++ compiler written in C which you could get to compile on the Raspberry Pi, since it does natively support C.
I didn't expect to read some shitty argument about memory cards in a thread like this. Take it trough PM's or profile comments. Don't shit this thread up.

Aren't most compilers written in C anyway? I don't know a whole lot about them, I just know how to use them :v:
I love the fact that soon we will be able to buy working computers for merely 25 bux each. I mean 50 years ago that would be a damn stupid joke.

Well, it makes you think. The iPod touch 2G had a 600MHz processor downclocked to what, 533? That cost $229. This has a better processor and can support wifi and even more advanced OSes for a fraction of the price. Maybe we can start building truly open-source handheld media players?

Well it isn't a turnkey solution, but the basic components required for it to be usable as that are incredibly cheap (except a usable monitor though, unless you use the composite port and a old TV)

Isn't android open source already, ARM6's have been around for awhile and arent powerful at all. You can get the same thing they're selling from some OEM in China for about the same price.

Well, aside from not having an OS installed out of the box, all you really need is an SSH service running and an ethernet connection for the most basic usage.

The operating system is open source, but there are limitations as to what you can do with the actual device and it's software, not to mention fragmentation.
I want a huge battery for this thing, then a ported things like Cataclysm Roguelike and BYOND
also a big antenna and a phone modem, so i can grief on SS13 on the go! :D
Or maybe port Megahal to it and pretend i have friends! :(
I want to buy a bunch of these and have a mini computer in every room.
If I use a microsd adapter with a card on my camera, it takes a hour to transfer all of the RAW photos, about 100 pics, its a class 10. Compared to my SDHC card which is a lower class and transfers alot faster.
do you know what class 10 means? it means it will transfer no less than 10 MB/s. if your SDHC is (for example) class 4, then it can only transfer 4 MB/s.

Actually it means it's an absolute minimum of 4 MB/sec if its class 4, not it's max or average.

I think I'll be making one of these into a mediacenter, as well as a small webserver :v:
I'm gonna have to buy one of these things. Only 25 dollars for something so awesome.
If I buy one I'll probably get something like this to go with it:
http://compare.ebay.com/like/400245986840?_lwgsi=y<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar
Mini keyboard, that it.

That's no good if your gonna be hosting LAN parties to go, because how are you going to maneuver easily with a keyboard that small?
