My school wouldn't let Obama's speech to students be shown because "He's a Commy"

This is just silly. Only in America could you prevent kids from hearing their own president.
I walked out.
feh. They say it's political indoctrination. I'm a progressive democrat who watched all of Bush's speeches throughout school. Why is it that since a democrat's in power (and a black one at that), that he's automatically socialist/communist? I mean... every western nation has adopted a public healthcare plan, but just because it goes against the status quo in America, the idea of socialized medicine is suddenly communism?
Mabey it has to do with the fact that both he and the democratic congress have shown complete disregard for the bill of rights?
Actually, the 7th circle of hell is the second level of city Dis and is reserved for violent sinners.
The more you know.
So just show it, and make the students think of their own opinions.
I wonder how people would react if they actually met a real left-wing president... Obama isn't even left-wing...
I don't think you realize this, but he is a commie.
You're such a weird member on here. Sometimes you pretend to be/hold Richard Nixon('s beliefs), and at others you act normal.
What's the deal?
Sounds like America is going through another Red Scare!
I don't see why the USA is so anti-communism.
It wouldn't be entirely outlandish to say America benefited from the Cold War, both politically and economically.

Yeah and the only cost was that human history might have ended in October 1962.
Revolt and overthrow your teachers.

But it didn't happen, and America emerged stronger and more powerful than ever after the collapse of the USSR.
Who cares, watch it online if you want to, learn Math in school instead and get a good job.

At the expense of countless other nations.

And the Computer Age.
And the Computer Age.
That was inevitable, though it was probably sped up to some extent by the space program.
Well at my school we were forced to see it unless we had a signed permission slip from your parents saying they didnt want us to see it.
l000l.
:sigh: he's not a communist
he had a plan to make the healthcare better
republicans need to learn there's a difference between attacking your opponents plans, and creating fucking stupid rumours
At the expense of countless other nations.
Only those allied with the USSR
Though I realise some of the 'allies' weren't with the USSR at will.
I really think people should be made to do an IQ test before being allowed to vote, It would make those dumbfuck retarded asshats powerless.
Then Obama wouldn't of been president.

Neither would McCain.
Thank god someone is standing up for America's values and the American dream.
Those teachers are true patriots and I'd love to shake each and everyone of their hands.
God bless them.

Also OP is a Commie Sympathizer.
Oh also, during Obama's speach, I left my classroom with the simple message, "He's not doing much too help me with my History work so I don't give a crap"
When Van Jones, Obama's Green Jobs Czar, comes out and say's hes a communist, that may make you wonder. -- Obama appointed this guy and is friends with him -- (He recently resigned but that doesnt mean he still can't give Obama advice )
I live in a largely conservative community, and we even watched the speech, though the school board refused to take the extra propaganda to go with the speech. Otherwise, we just resumed class wile it was on if we chose to do so. It was really anything you'd hear from a decent parent, guardian, or teacher would tell you.
"Don't do drugs, stay in school, make good grades, good choices, and try and fulfill your dreams."
Very stereotypical stuff.
Well... Last time I checked Communism is a temporary setback on the road to freedom.

There were some good candidates, it's just the money factor. I really liked Mike Huckabee. But as I said, money! He ran his election off donations and volunteers, pretty makeshift.
