Is Date A Live worth picking up?
Firefox is objectively better for anyone interested in web development
Oh true enough, but still putting that aside concerning general browsing, Chrome and Opera and recent IE does the job well enough as well, and it can't hurt to have your non-preferred browsers installed while testing out any projects like I do usually.
I use VLC on my laptop and MPC on my desktop, so let me say something. I've noticed while using MPC on my laptop that it tends to cause it to run at near 100% CPU usage on all four cores with CCCP + MadVR 1080p 10bit content, which causes it to reach high temperatures, but with VLC it rarely reaches 60%. Turning off MadVR and tweaking yields nothing better, it runs higher and hotter than VLC no matter what I do. On my desktop it's negligible. Video quality is noticeably better on MPC on my desktop, but I have trouble seeing any difference whatsoever on my laptop. I blame the shitty screen. All arguments you've made prior to 2012-02-18 need re evaluating, the 2.0 update changed a lot of things significantly. Seeking is 10 times better and subtitle support is much more complete. VLC simply put, isn't bad, it's just not optimal in a vast selection of cases. It's definitely worth the time looking into what possible improvements you can get from using MPC. Also that Haruhi video is outdated, silly, and incomplete. And it doesn't help that 50% of the video is like "You're retarded/VLC is for people bad at computers/hur hur hur fucktard" ad hominem bullshit.
Is Date A Live worth picking up?
Not really. There's much better stuff you could be watching with the time you'd spend on it
Is Date A Live worth picking up?
If you've read the light novels, yeah. If not, it's just a timewaster.
Okay then, thanks for the help

After comparing the two very briefly, the only immediately noticeable differences I can find are the slightly darker blacks which are admittedly an improvement, and the fact that on some of the subs, depending on who subbed them and how, apparently, moving to a random time means that the subtitles will be active in the middle of a sentence, whereas in VLC I'd have to go back to the start of their sentence for the subs to kick in.
Aniem has taught me that its okay to trip every 5 minutes and grab a girls boobs as long as you apologize.
lol what a stupid bullshit ban. Couldn't even find out about it without deleting cookies, good job Facepunch.

You can still fiddle with it yourself but CCCP uses its own customized MPC player build if I recall which restricts some of your own customization options as well. Vanilla MPC itself is light as a feather and even less demanding than VLC in some cases, try out the latest K-Lite pack and use the recommended renderer by default and you'll notice probably a marginal performance difference, probably even equal to your VLC performance and temps. also because I'm bored [t]http://u.cubeupload.com/NachoPiggy/luckystar.png[/t] VLC though is wonderful for school videos projects because 99% of the computers are stuck on Windows XP without a Service Pack even and WMP is stripped naked and blind so VLC is always wonderful to play video presentations and stuff from the get go.
Aniem has taught me that its okay to trip every 5 minutes and grab a girls boobs as long as you apologize.
I did that one time by accident during high school true story it was p. sweet.
VLC is awesome compared to a lot of other stuff Ive used. Ive definitely seen it improve a bit in the past few years in which Ive been using it as well. This is the first Ive heard of MPC.
Been rewatching Monster. It's really good.

I just realized I used to use MPC, but I forgot about it when I reinstalled windows a while back. :v:
Is Date A Live worth picking up?
If you can actually keep watching that series you are ultimately anime. Not many can survive the deep plot of Date A live. [editline]22nd April 2013[/editline] I'm not sure why everyone say MPC is good, since it does not even do much itself. It's almost completely reliant on external codecs. Would make more sense to call CCCP good. [editline]22nd April 2013[/editline] I'm yet to encounter a situation where MPC would be better than PotPlayer i'm using. I have MPC, VLC, PotPlayer and PotPlayer 64bit. I will compare all of them and see how they differ.
It does not matter what is better, the important thing is that it works for you.
I use MPC with madVR and SVP It's nice
What do you mean I don't remember right? The new slut character makes her appearance near the end. It was fucking horrible, she's a terrible character.
mari shows up at the beginning and through the middle and also idk what's so wrong with her but ok kaworu has the deus ex machina at the end
Has this one been posted yet? :v:

GEEE, I don't know...
I use MPC with madVR and SVP It's nice
it took a while for me to get used to SVP, but it's actually pretty nice
Works for me.
The thing is, a lot of people don't really give a crap about video/sound quality. Some of them can't even see/hear any difference either. Even when it's blatantly obvious.
What's wrong with a blatantly full-retarded fanservice character that's there only for the body to produce fapmaterial?
no she's there to inspire shinji since the other chicks are useless
no she's there to inspire shinji since the other chicks are useless
Shinji's dick? Yeah, definitely.
