Time for a confession: I actually liked Endless Eight.
How? You're literally watching the same episode 8 god damn times with only minimal dialogue changes.
:3 I took pictures of my friends sleeping face.
Please do not rape your friends.
But is it actually endless?
The endless eight was neither endless, nor eight. Discuss.
How? You're literally watching the same episode 8 god damn times with only minimal dialogue changes.
For me, it comes from the fact that the studio is trying to give a comparable experience to what [sp]Yuki went through in the show.[/sp] Yes, the Endless Eight was repetitive, but that was the point: they wanted to cement some semblance of feeling of what [sp]Yuki was going through.[/sp] Watching the same episode, say, two or three times doesn't have quite the same impact as eight times. By the eighth time, most people are already bored as hell. However, you have to consider [sp]Yuki herself had to repeat same loop 15,000+ times, which is infinitely more boring in comparison.[/sp] I suppose I didn't truly enjoy the episodes by themselves, but I greatly appreciate why they exist.

Sure it doesn't make you feel like you were there but at least you don't have to watch the same episode over and over. I would have dropped the series if I was watching it while it was airing.
pls. . . . not kawaii at all
Do not fear, he is just exercising "wheelcest". It is nothing to be afraid of.
Please do not rape your friends.
No promises.

Quite a few people probably dropped Haruhi because of that, but I imagine KyoAni figured making an artistic statement would be worth the fan backlash and negative ratings. Plus, the majority of the negative comments on Endless Eight would probably please them. Did the Endless Eight bore you out of your skull? Good. They intended you to feel that way. The Endless Eight might not have been the smartest financial move ever, but it's Haruhi. I doubt the amount of negative press KyoAni received due to it had that significant of an impact on their DVD sales. Also, the feeling of being there is pretty important, in my opinion. [sp]Sharing that sense of intense repetitiveness helps relate Yuki to the viewer, and I feel sharing a similar experience with a character will increase one's attachment to them. Knowing you're not the only one going through that pain is comforting in a way, as proven by the phrase "misery loves company." That attachment becomes significant later on, when you learn in Disappearance that Yuki developed emotions because of that Endless Eight you both suffered through.[/sp]
Nah, [sp]the timeloop in-universe only happens 15,532 times.[/sp]
Spoiler much
Are the gurren lagann movies any good? I know that they're just summing up the show, but do they add anything interesting enough to warrant watching them?
too bad the rest isn't as good
Kotoura-san "spoilers": http://i.minus.com/iDfRIqNgdVccC.gif
Are the gurren lagann movies any good? I know that they're just summing up the show, but do they add anything interesting enough to warrant watching them?
thay add new endings in both arcs

It's worth watching yeah but only if you've watched the actual series first as they montage through a lot of the less important scenes.

Was strolling around my local DVD store when I found this hidden among the Anime Section :)
I have seen the original series, are the story changes mainly minor ones?
They changed quite a bit of the story to fit it into the movies. [sp]instead of them fighting the beast men commanders individually or whatever, in the movie they all fight the dai gurren dan at once. [/sp] It's been awhile since I watched anything related to TTGL though.
Started watching kotoura. A promising start.
Starts off as the best show in the world. Ends up as generic anime #312332 Throws away all the fucking potential shown in the first episode.
I thought it was alright. A bit rushed though... really could've used mooooore... I don't know the word.
Starts off as the best show in the world. Ends up as generic anime #312332 Throws away all the fucking potential shown in the first episode.
Such a silly way to go, could've been so good that first episode hit me hard
The beginning of Kotoura was so fucked up I got really nervous when her creepy grandfather showed up on screen.
Suddenly chuunibyou references in oreimo. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline]
The beginning of Kotoura was so fucked up I got really nervous when her creepy grandfather showed up on screen.
I couldn't get past the first EP because the drama was so fucking shit. Made me feel ashamed for the writers.
I've admittedly not felt the urge to watch past episode one. That's a problem of mine. I've probably started and not finished more than i've finished, even when I've had no real problems so far with anything i've started.
Is Baccano a good watch?
ye ofc
Will watch.
If you watch Baccano you need to watch the sub and dub at the same time
