I remember in chuu2 they used "It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This" and "FYI" in the middle of a normal conversation but it's only occasionally when they do stuff like that.
FYI isn't a meme Rikka might've used a 2chan meme or something there, regardless it's more of a videogame reference than an internet culture thing, and rikka plays videogames
Quick question, I've heard somewhere of episode 4, I believe, of Gurren Lagann doing something to alienate a huge portion of their fanbase. If this did actually happen, I've got no idea what the fuck said heinous act was, since I haven't sene GUrren Lagann. Anyone care to enlighten me if this exists at all?

Akai and another Gainax employee, Keiko Mimori, made disparaging remarks about comments criticizing the animation style of the fourth episode of Gurren Lagann, which was completely directed by guest and friend Osamu Kobayashi. With regard to reading the fan criticisms, Akai stated that it was "like putting [his] face next to an anus and breathing deeply." Fans later became aware of his comments, and he announced his departure from the company he helped to found.
all we need is anime
with what money phone bills man
I don't really get how people have such high phone bills. But, after all I'm at the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I more or less only pay the minimum debit, sometimes maybe 5$ more accumulated over 3 months (since I only pay each third month)
Question do you guys think: anime > live action tv series
Anime = Live Action Just that anime is shorter so I actually can bother watching that, but movies and TV series are just too long for me these days, sitting down for almost an hour (and sometimes more than an hour) is just too much time that I know I'll just sit and watch something unless I know it's really fucking good. Which is the reason the only TV series I'm watching (and still haven't finished the most recent season) is Breaking Bad. Live Action can really deliver real (or more often than not, plausible or authentic) situations with real people with real feelings and real emotions. Anime can deliver over-the-top crazy batshit insane shit and stuff you just wouldn't have the money to do with live action, or actressess that would be willing to do as well. There is nothing the one medium can't do that the other can, but some of the things you can do in the one medium may require too much work/money or may not work as well. For example making Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as a live action would be terrible and would most likely look really bad or tip the scale over to just being a completely corny show that wasn't possible to take serious at any time. Making Breaking Bad as an anime would be terrible because it's built around being real (with a lot of fictional freedoms that still have a lot of authenticity to them), having characters that clearly look drawn wouldn't cut it no matter what, it wouldn't be real enough, the expressions wouldn't be good enough, it just wouldn't be taken seriously enough to work. It's all about what you want to deliver and what kind of budget you have, the one isn't better than the other, but the one may fit your work better than the other. Just think: Game of Thrones the anime or Lucky Star the TV series.
Honestly, if we hold both to the same standards of quality, and probably even if we don't, I would probably take anime. The difference is that there's no limit to what you can do. That's the good thing about anime, if you want to do something about giant robots fighting, or some people having a perfectly normal life and what happens to them, or anything at all, you can do that and it just comes down to how good your writing is to determine the quality, along with your animation budget. In live-action, you're limited tremendously by budget and that type of thing. There's benefits to both, but the scope of what you can do is almost unlimited in an animated format. You couldn't exactly make something like, say, Attack on Titan as a live-action TV series without a massive budget. I'm probably taking this question way too seriously, but that's my reason anyway.
There is no limit to what you can do, but there can be limits to what you can express and how well you can connect the audience with your story, a.k.a what I adressed above. Everything can be done with both mediums, but not everything works that well with both mediums.
I tried to use MyAnimeList for a while but I couldn't really get into it.
Adding a show to your list and giving it a rating is hard?
The art was really fucking weird because they had a guest animation director and his style was weird
I figured it'd be something art-style related. Thanks. I can't see why one fucking episode would piss everyone off so badly though.
The main problem I'm having is surviving from the late fees I got when my whole pay cycle got turned upside down, it's just late fees after late fees
