I get rated dumb for telling the truth. Derp derp.
Sure his brother put the dog out but he told the brother to put the dog out.
The point is it's your own damn fault for having the dog out front off leash
On a street where very few cars pass through and it's a 30 zone I'd imagine this doesn't happen often at all. Sure that shouldn't completely justify it but at the same time it's not completely and utterly his fault for going about business as usual.
some woman hit my dog
it was 30 KPH down my road and some Volkswagen bug was going around 50-60 I think or something ridiculous because when she hit my dog she swerved and ended up flipping over 3 times ending up in my feild
My dog was around 6 when she was hit and had to be put down :sigh:
Heart goes out to you op and from the looks of it your dogs going to be ok and I hope she pulls through!
Hope your dogs alright OP.Best of luck.
I seen my dog get hit, and the guy did it intentionally. I was really shocked, it hurt me for a while. The last thing my dog did was try to get up and he wagged his tail when I screamed his name. He said his good bye.. He died after 2 hours.
Glad to see that she's recovering. :unsmith:
this isnt how marley and me ended
I hope it's okay.
My cat died because some car hit her and ran away. It was a pure breed Persian we imported from Russia :frown:
First time i see the beautiful dog so can you explain me that witch country these dogs.
I'm leaving to go see her in half an hour. It's 7:30 right now, and the vet opens at 8. I'll try to grab a picture, and let you guys know how she's doing once I get back.
I know how you feel, when my dogs aren't with me I feel empty.
...As much as I hate to believe it, she didn't make it. She passed away during the night. :smith: It's not easy losing something so close to you...Especially when you were so sure she'd make it, only to be told that well, she didn't.
Update, my mom went see her at the vet. She's walking okay, and was really happy to see my mom. So she recognizes people, meaning it's highly unlikely she has brain problems.

The vet will do some X-rays soon to see if anything is broken inside. If there isn't, she should be okay except for all the scratches over her body  ..

Yes, my mom is dispatcher for the indian reserve right beside our city. But she can't do much since it's not on the same territory.
Also, about the cab... Tomorrow , the passenger that was in the car when it bumped my dog, should pass by. He said he lives down the street. We'll see what we do from there.
Once again, thank you all for the nice words :unsmith: ..
Oh man it makes me so feel so much better seeing she's doing alright, I couldn't imagine how awful I'd feel if something happened to my dogs. Best of luck op
EDIT: and now I read the above post. I'm really sorry.
My cat was hit by a car and killed just a few months ago. The driver was speeding and didn't know what he hit. Now its even more lonely without anyone to hang around with :smith:

I know that feeling, I lost a ferret (different animals, still, same feeling of the animal close to you) that had cancer, he was taken into the vet, he removed the tumor, a few months later it cam back doubled and it killed him. I was the last one to see him alive. But overall I'm sorry for what happened, I hope the driver gets what's coming to him.
One of my dogs got Electrocuted a few weeks ago. I miss her. :smith:
No, you wouldn't
My dog(a beagle) was attacked by a bulldog without a leash while out walking, almost fucking killed him but I got the fucker off and neutralized him fast enough, his owner wasn't too happy about that so he bit the dust too, never got charged for anything due to the dog attacking us, giving me full right to defend myself and my dog, and it was illegally unleashed, and when the fucktard attacked me, self defense too.
So you let your dog run free on the street and then blame the driver who hit it

You have my deepest condolences, my dog almost died too but we moved him half way across the country to a vet that's pretty much the best in this country, the head vet around here is a sick fuck that likes to put animals down at any chance he gets.

Most likely he lives in a suburb, where kids normally play in the street around this time of the year.

I don't let my dog on the road when I'm visiting my dad, and he lives in the middle of a forest with a road next to his house where only about 20 cars pass per day
I fucking feel for you man, dogs are the greatest animal companions one can have, always loyal, loving.
Maybe one day, you will meet her again.
i hope everything works out, and i'm sorry for your loss.
Hey OP, the guy who hit your dog wouldn't of killed him if he hadn't been speeding that much over, last year, my dog was only a year old and got hit by a car going 30 and he survived with barely any injury and he was hit directly, your dog would have survived if the driver had been going just 15 mph less. I'm sorry for you OP, I wish you the best.
I wish you the best and ill keep you in my thoughts
Then if the cabs are maniacs it would be a smart bet to leave your dog in a secured area away from a street? The OP should have been thinking before letting a little kid let loose a dog to run across the street. Most pet stories on facepunch involving a accident always turn out to be the fault of the original poster because it seems most people don't give a damn about keeping their pets safe and more about letting them run around freely.
Er.. I don't let my dog loose.
excited for pictures of her recovery :buddy:
excited for pictures of her recovery :buddy:
She died...
what an insightful and useful post, thanks for that
i'm sure OP hadn't had any regrets about making that decision until you brought the truth to light
stop posting stupid shit just so you can feel like you won an argument on the internet
And your post is SO much more insightful.
Grow up.
That sucks man. My dog almost got hit by a car a year back, but the driver luckily saw the dog and slowed down so I could get it out of the street.
And your post is SO much more insightful.

It actually was, and the post he was quoting was someone being a retarded fuck.
Stop acting dumb.
Like really, how can you guys possibly say that it was his fault.
My dog doesn't run away when I let him out, most dogs don't as far as I know.
My street has 1 car pass through it a day. I wouldn't think for a second a car would come down and hit my dog.
Neither would he.
