SlipKnoT is a totally SUCCESSFUL band! read the OP! "Haters GTFO" so GET OUT!
Get over yourselves, SlipKnot are okay but they're nothing spectacular or new. They just add to my music collection. [editline]01:57AM[/editline] I also don't understand the extreme hatred for them, is it something about the band or is it about tools like the above poster?
this band sucks unimagineably bad and all their fans are either "I used to like them and their old stuff" or "OMG SLIPKNOT<3<3<3" (fanbois)
Yeah, I fall into the first category, but a couple years ago I was in the second one and I really regret it. Looking back I fell like a dumbass. But yeah, I still enjoy their stuff, just not as much as I used to.
I love this band
all their fans are either "I used to like them and their old stuff" or "OMG SLIPKNOT<3<3<3" (fanbois)
This can be said about pretty much every band. Replacing "SLIPKNOT" with the band's name of course. What the fuck is wrong with the Australian version of that magazine? we don't get that kind of stuff. The best I ever got from it was a Dimebag Darrell tribute album...
This can be said about pretty much every band. Replacing "SLIPKNOT" with the band's name of course.
Unless the band has 2 or less albums. And experimental bands usually get it worse than a band following a defined genre.
They don't really do much, neither do the two custom percussionists, though Clown is a good songwriter and media expert for their videos and stuff.
Clown and Chris also do backup singing, like the "Limits of the dead" in Psychosocial. Also, the sound of the music wouldnt sound as it does not without the percussion. They are there to create a wall of sound. Without Sid you wouldnt hear those scratches in Surfacing or SiC and even more songs. Without Craig you wouldnt have had the piano intro of Duality or "Here comes the pain" in SiC So yes, dont come and say they dont do really much, because they do.

I think he also controls vox and guitar effects (which may be one of the reasons he always stays put). Chris and Clown also sing the phrase People = Shit etc. Also the added percussion makes the songs sound a lot louder and faster than they would be without it.

Would like to see why all the haters hate Slipknot so much for. I bet its the vocals, number of musicans and the masks.

Love them.
I used to like slipknot sorta fed up of them now my only problem with slipknot was the fact that they seem to act as a blanket over many other bands and everyone loves them when they're are soo many other bands that may be more suited to your music taste. Take for example Chimaira or even better Machine Head Chimaira are very under rated and deserve more credit 10 years ago Slipknot supported Machine Head at a gig now its the other way around where Machine Head support Slipknot. Also people are way too obsessed with their masks<.<
Rest In Peace, Paul Dedrick Gray<3
One of the few nu-metal bands I still find enjoyable. RIP Paul.

RIP Paul :frown: And yesterday I was bragging about the Slipknot lineup hasn't changed for 10 years :crying:
I admit I used to listen to these guys. I eventually stopped, but it still sucks to hear that the bassist died. R.I.P Paul Gray.
I woke up yesterday morning and I knew that the day was going to be shit. Didn't sleep properly that night and Paul Grey died somewhere around then. Not a good day at all :(
Would like to see why all the haters hate Slipknot so much for. I bet its the vocals, number of musicans and the masks.
I genuinely hate their music. RIP Paul still.
I genuinely hate their music. RIP Paul still.
That's not a reason. How come you genuinely hate it?
I genuinely hate their music. RIP Paul still.
I like a few of their songs, Spit It Out is one of my favorites by them (haven't heard many recently) Going in a thread just to sayo you hate something makes you look like an idiot, keep that in mind.
