Go to a military college, then become a marine, then fall back on education.
Try joining up with another branch for a couple of years, or see about becoming a cop or something (my plan when I get out). After a while maybe you won't need your meds, then you can come back to the marines.
Also, don't be a marine, be GI.
pssh
Why would you flunk school. Also, don't be a marine, be GI.
For one, you idiot if you actually read the thread i'm not an american. And for seconds, how the hell could i 'be galvanized iron'.

Pick an instrument and dedicate your life to it.
Pick an instrument and dedicate your life to it.
Emo Violin?
Become a construction worker? Be a criminal? Suicide?
You know I've seen alot of these movies where one of the people has some of job in the military and wants to be the the best possible, then they get some sort of physical disability, (Like the diver who got his foot cut off) and couldn't reach their dreams. Not once did they bitch about it on the internet. They went and trained their asses off to get over said disability and they worked to the fucking bone to get themselves exempted from whatever kept them back, they changed the system. So OP all I can say is go make your own inspiring movie plot by beating asthma and becoming a royal marine. I swear I will pay money to watch that flick when it comes out. :munch:
^ American.
canada there
Learn to weld, it's fun, rewarding, and you start out at around $20 USD per hour. Being professionally trained at a college is gonna be a bit expensive though, but most of the colleges help you find work right after.
I would get a second opinion from another doctor. You have not been on medication for your asthma, because you hadn't known about it. Clearly it did not impair your performance before, so fuck medication for it.
To all people nitpicking at me flunking school: We were all young at some point, we all did stupid things. I was so motivated i thought nothing could stop be getting in, as i've had no other previous athsma cases.
I'm still young, I never did things THAT stupid
go back to school, do what you like to do
asthma is very treatable, it should go away eventually.
You should have stayed in school, because your spelling and grammar suck.
Because i knew what i wanted to do. I'm young and 'nothing can stop me'. Obviously now i realise that it can and i made a huge mistake.
You obviously weren't very smart in high school either. Nice job fucking up your life, kid. I can't say that I'll miss you.
Being young is no excuse for dropping out of school. The point of school is to educate people; these people should be intelligent enough to make educated choices on such a matter.
Well, i'm not sure. Try something else I guess. You know that having a military service record looks REALLY good on a resume? Gets you into a lot of good jobs. Try being a doctor.
Oh... wow man, I'm really sorry. I'd give you hug if I were there. :frown:
Start swimming and making sure that you don't breathe every stroke. First breathe every 2, then after 3 weeks of swimming while breathing every 2 strokes, increase it by 3 strokes, then 4 strokes and so on. This increases your lung capacity, and should get rid of your asthma. I've been on the swim team for 10 years and my lung capacity is amazing, I've pretty much gotten rid of my atshma.
^ American.
^ Retard.
I understand you wanting to join your marines, but why flunk school?
You don't need much normal education to be a soldier. If he's going to dedicate his time to trying to joining the armed forces, school is only taking up that time with no real point. But then you have asthma. You really have my sympathy there, I'm sure there's a way out of the hole you're in. For now you may as well get a shit job like macky d's or something, until you've found a solution. Yesterday my English test involved an ad from a company that was for people in your position, but me being the unhelpful bugger I am, didn't remember what it's called
