Wow, thank you.
Not sure if this is the right place, since it's the photography section. Does anybody know of any good camcorders? Looking for something at least 720p. Price range around 150-200 USD or even better, i'll spend a little more for something that is a good regular camera that can record good video

How sharp is the Sigma 30 1.4 compared to a Canon 50 1.8?
What's a good DSLR that can take portraits, landscapes, and macros for under $400 CDN? It doesn't matter if it's used or not.
So, you want a camera? Get a used Nikon D5000 and a Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] Or get a used Nikon D60, that camera was awesome.
How sharp is the Sigma 30 1.4 compared to a Canon 50 1.8?
I have both lenses and though I haven't tested them head to head, the sigma is a lot sharper wide open than the canon. Don't know how they fare stopped down(probably won't notice a lot of difference) but the sigma is a great lens. The canon too though

They're all pretty low on features, and the 30D is too complex for beginners.
Has anyone got a 30 1.4, 50 1.8 or 17-50 2.8 they could sell to me in the UK?
Gotta be someone.
Gotta be someone.
When do you need it by?
They're all pretty low on features, and the 30D is too complex for beginners.
and a D5000 and D60 aren't?
They're entry level cameras, cueball.
What about the D3000? There's a used one at the store i'm at now for $299 CDN
Does anyone know a good lens for macro photos? (Nikon D5100)
When do you need it by?
Looking to buy when my exams are over after the 8th of June. Are you selling yours?
Looking to buy when my exams are over after the 8th of June. Are you selling yours?
Well I bought it on a whim - and although it has outstanding quality I just really hate being tied to 50mm. I also need a new phone :L I'm going to take it out properly on Friday and give it a bash - if I still don't want it I'll let you know and it's yours if you want it. It's a day old.
Do you guys think the Canon 100-400mm IS USM L F/4,6-5,6 is a good choice for for instance polar bear photography on a budget? [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] (A friend asking lol, a budget...)
Does anyone know a good lens for macro photos? (Nikon D5100)
105mm f/2.8G AF-S VR Micro NIKKOR [editline]31st May 2011[/editline]
Do you guys think the Canon 100-400mm IS USM L F/4,6-5,6 is a good choice for for instance polar bear photography on a budget? In a snow landscape where the sun don't even set I'd say it's way bright enough to take photographs hand held. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] Or do you think the 400mm EF USM F/5.6L prime is a better choice, even without image stabilizer?
105mm f/2.8G AF-S VR Micro NIKKOR
800€ :O That's... a whole camera! :P
800€ is a good price
€800 is a really good price for a 105mm f/2.8 G Micro.
Okay, well I think I've landed on the Canon 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6L then. I'll buy it some time next week. [editline]31st May 2011[/editline] And, uh, one more question that's a matter of opinion - what's the best possible prime between 35 and 75mms for 2000€ or lower (About 3000 USD) Must also be for Canon & full frame.
Question, what's the difference between this: Nikon D3000 and this: Canon Powershot S5 IS Which is better etc?

One has an automatic photographer mode so you can show everyone how artistic you are via facebook profile images.
One is an SLR and one is a bridge.
The canon has a tilty twisty screen
