Well since you bought that filter, get out a tripod, stop the lens down, take pictures of rivers or forests.

Should've brought it where?
Im in the city now Reykjavík on vacation for like a week, didn't think I'd need a tripod really
Bought a circular polarizing filter today for a million kronur What should i take pictures of (nonikai here heh)
Do polarizing and haze/uv filters do a lot for landscapes? I'm still stuck between buying some filters for my kit lens, or selling the 55-250 and getting the tamron 17-50 w/ filters.
Can't tell if serious.
I don't think it's the right currency. I did what you did a while back when Nonikai was discussing something else.

thinking about getting the camileo x100, but it has no external mic port i wanted to use it alongside a zoom h1 is this plausible?
yes, but you'll need to sync the audio based on the built in audio and you can't timecode sync
thinking about getting the camileo x100, but it has no external mic port i wanted to use it alongside a zoom h1 is this plausible?
It's possible to sync but in practice it's too difficult and will make your editing process extremely long.
clapperboards
Yes but for a lot of things I doubt he will have the convenience of using them.
small clapperboards :downsbravo:
Is a 50mm 1.4 worth the extra money over a 1.8?
yes.
B-Hazard - want my 50mm?
Is a 50mm 1.4 worth the extra money over a 1.8?
Very much so, especially if it's a Nikon 50mm f/1.4.
Very much so, especially if it's a Nikon 50mm f/1.4.
My 50 1.8 hath been insulted sir! :(
Very much so, especially if it's a Nikon 50mm f/1.4.
What would be a better choice then. Canon or Sigma?
What would be a better choice then. Canon or Sigma?
You might also want to look at the sigma 30mm f1.4 if you think 50mm is too narrow
What would be a better choice then. Canon or Sigma?
The sigma 50mm f/1.4 is better than the Canon, but is a bit more expensive.
The sigma 50mm f/1.4 is better than the Canon, but is a bit more expensive.
Seems to be cheaper from what I can find. [editline]3rd June 2011[/editline] Although some places it's more expensive.
Question number 2, would it be better to get a small starter lens with my D3000 or get something with more oompf?
Of course a better lens would be better, but just learn with the kit lens, then figure out what you want from your next lens.
Hey guys, I'm in dire need of a flash for my 450D. Anyone know of one that's good sub 200?
Sigma EF-530 DG SUPER.
Cheapest one on Amazon is 230 used, the Nikon for whatever reason is 160 though. Any other viable options? I'm considering the Sigma 610 Super but I'm not sure how it compares to the 530 or the Canon 430EX II speedlight And 10 bucks more for their newest flash brand new doesn't seem so terrible either. But I want to hear what anyone else thinks.
So today I got a used Nikon D40 with an 18-55mm lens, did I choose well?
So today I got a used Nikon D40 with an 18-55mm lens, did I choose well?
Yes. [editline]3rd June 2011[/editline] Well, how much was it?
