Why do you care?
Because each and every citizen living in this country should be educated to understand the ways in which our country came to be, and believing that the nation was founded on christianity represents false perceptions that should be remedied. This is not an argument against religion, just the claim by many that this nation was founded on Christianity, or God, which it was not .

I, for one, care about things like this because these are the same people (or will grow up to be the same people) who try to remove key aspects of American history just because it goes against their beliefs of America being founded upon Christianity (like what the Texas Board of Ed. is trying to do with their textbooks). These are the same people who want Creationism being taught alongside evolution as if Creationism is an actual theory (which it isn't).
