Imagine you and your friends have an inside joke, it's pretty funny and only you get it. Then 6 months later (you've almost forgotten about the joke, or barely use it anymore) [b]everyone[/b] starts using it. Way too often and in the worst possibly context. I believe that's a legitimate reason to get annoyed. But I do agree that internet users are too possessive over memes, it's not like we're the only ones allowed to use them.

Internet culture is a pretty important thing to alot of people. It's been cultivated in a fast pace. Things live and die fast. But they always do it based on the natural interest of those involved. But now internet culture has changed to this. It's like, to give an example, 2000 years of music, some good, some bad, but the good stuff is good because it's legitimately good, and the bad stuff is bad because it's just bad, and it's sorted that way. But then you have, like, Iunno, Justin Bieber, or whatever, and it isn't that great. I mean, there's nothing wrong with liking Bieber, but it's not good, it doesn't hold up to the standard of anything else. So you have Bieber, and it becomes popular. Really popular. So popular, that it overtakes all the other music and becomes the [I]only thing anyone knows[/I]. There is no more good music- there's just Bieber. The good music that's good still exists I guess, but only a few knows it anymore and it's drowned out by Bieber. People who know nothing about music praise it like it's the greatest thing. People who know nothing of Beethoven, or Louis Armstrong, or Bob Dylan, or Jimi Hendrix, or even something as modern as Deadmau5...it's all unknown and covered by people whose first taste of music is Justin Bieber, who blast it everywhere, praise it, sing it, with total disregard to any other music. And now, that's all music is. The word music is ruined. Not because the new music is itself bad, not because they don't have a right to enjoy it, but because there was so much work and culture behind the music of old, and it's been overtaken by some sub-par artist whose overused by youngins to the point that the word music now means "Justin Bieber". This isn't a Bieber rant, this is a meme rant wrapped in Bieber-flavored packaging.

It was off to a slow start too. I have not seen the show, but I can see that if it does not bring out all the potential; people might not look at the show
