IIRC there was a Goosebumps book (might have been a choose-your-own-adventure) where the ending was that your reflection (who was evil and hated you, because you forced it to copy your every move) switched places with you, giving it total freedom and leaving you trapped inside reflective surfaces.

Not at all true. He's very emotive in all of his movies.
