There's a lot of good songs in this decade, you just have to look hard to find them. I completely agree with dominicus, Decades have good and bad songs, take Tupac for example. I love his music, but some of his songs have the same idea as Lil Wayne's songs (Based around smoking weed, killing people and pussy), but Tupac's lyrics are a way higher standard of anything Lil Wayne could achieve, and that's why people consider Pac a better rapper.

As far as lyrics go, I'll just say this: [I]the genres are different.[/I] Today's pop music is meant to be played in a club with the lights flashing and people dancing, that's why it's very repetitive. It has a different purpose than other genres like rock, jazz, or doo-wop, so that's why it's very different.
