I'm also from Minnesota and, although not as obvious as the fake tan in that photo, people are either REALLY tan, or white.

I remember seeing a blog post on FurAffinity on how border control had opened up a box that was full of hardbacked furry porn the guy was selling, and one of them was damaged because it'd been dropped back in, the top of box slammed down on it and taped shut again.
