I don't understand the wrong here. Everyone is entitled to love who they want. Just because you're nice to a girl doesn't mean she has to love you.

As for stepping all over you... They think you're a friend, you're offering stuff so they think it's ok to take it because you're a friend. If they call and ask for a favor it's because they see you as a friend, you and you alone are responsible to accept/deny the offer.

Thirdly, if you actually think you can buy your way into a relationship you're dumb.

Also just as a random tip to you guys: NEVER take a girl to the cinema for a (supposed) date. Why? Because it's not a date... think about it you're watching a movie, how exactly is that making a relationship? It's not, because you're not interacting and getting to know each other better!
