It's a bit overhyped but it's worth trying, especially if you easily immerse yourself in the game. It's also a great challenge.

They're good. The environments are awesome. Personally, I can never get into them, because as awesome as the concepts are, the actual gameplay is a turn off, but that's just for me. Lots of people love them.

It's just the perfect game for the typical Facepuncher, the only way it could get more perfect for them is if you shot bronies/weeaboos and had every 90s cartoon show on an in-game TV.

I tried it once, the game kicked my ass. It was sort of fun, though; I might try again on a lower difficulty sometime (didn't do it immediately because you couldn't seem to change difficulty mid-game, only at the start, and I'd already gotten two hours in).
How much are the Stalker games? I'm kinda spent after SCII but if I have some left over I might get one...

I played through Shadow of Chernobyl. It was really boring, to be honest. The gameplay was subpar, everyone was voice acted by basically one guy, and game-crashing glitches galore. I personally am not a fan of post-apocalyptic environments, but I'm betting if you like them you could enjoy this game. I can't say anything for the other two.
