• A Normal Person's Thoughts on Furries

Uh... not really. It's just a part of me. I realize it's not normal and that something probably went wrong with my brain at some point in my life to cause this. However, since I'm not hurting anyone with it, I don't mind it at all. Can you explain your attraction to humans in purely objective terms? I doubt it's possible without going into advanced psychology and neurology.
i hate them. everywhere i go they're making terrible posts and being terrible people. their avatars which generally have furry porn in them make we want to throw up a month's worth of food, and they constantly use dumb emoticons. along with that they're always quick to say "hey guys im a furry i lov da cawk xD" and on occasion even posts pictures of furry porn where it's uncalled for (it's never called for btw). also being a furry is one of the sickest fetishes, especially since furries get off to pets.
I hate it when people can't use proper grammar.
There's no proven explanation for it. We know hormone imbalances in the womb is the most likely cause of homosexuality, but for other fetishes, there's no surefire answer.
Cultural influence? Thinking about it, there were many shows in our childhood with tons of anthro characters. The next generation will be caused by Avatar.
I don't really care about it. Also: Obvious troll thread.
If you're a furry, that's cool as long as you don't mention it every fucking second.

What I find hilarious about furries is they think they're animals, when 90% of the males are gay. Apparently that makes 90% of real animals gay also? Also, I have a feeling OP is friends with/or is this guy: http://steamcommunity.com/id/RaeTheLynx/

Humans are colonies of billions of cells that just go around looking for another colony of billions of cells that produces the opposite gamete, to create a third colony.
yeah function normally in society aka they cannot function in society normally if they are openly furries aka being a furry is wrong and only people who are unsociable or find something wrong with themselves to make them so insecure become furries thanks for proving what i said i appreciate it furries and gays need to grow a pair and start acting right and not all fucked up [editline]05:28PM[/editline] imbalance as in not balanced as in something is wrong with you if you are gay aka you should grow a pair
this is right edit: kellybear you're just dumb, stop posting because even you know you're wrong.
Cultural influence? Thinking about it, there were many shows in our childhood with tons of anthro characters. The next generation will be caused by Avatar.
That's actually a really good point. I hadn't thought about that.
There's no proven explanation for it. We know hormone imbalances in the womb is the most likely cause of homosexuality, but for other fetishes, there's no surefire answer.
I believe that the concept of a "furry" is beyond fetish and instead more like a mental disorder.
Cultural influence? Thinking about it, there were many shows in our childhood with tons of anthro characters. The next generation will be caused by Avatar.
Hm, that is an interesting point.
Cultural influence? Thinking about it, there were many shows in our childhood with tons of anthro characters. The next generation will be caused by Avatar.
Speaking of which: I loathe people who consider Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse as "furry" characters. These characters were thought up WAY before the furry fandom ever emerged. Also, drawing talking animals is not automatically furry either. It's called cartooning. Talking animal cartoons have been around forever and it bothers me when people automatically say, "A talking dog? Oh yeah, that's definitely furry." Porn of said characters is another story though. That's just fucking weird.

Also, I have a feeling OP is friends with/or is this guy: http://steamcommunity.com/id/RaeTheLynx/
What? 50-55 percent of furries are straight, and they don't believe that they are actual animals, that's otherkin.
What I find hilarious about furries is they think they're animals, when 90% of the males are gay. Apparently that makes 90% of real animals gay also? Also, I have a feeling OP is friends with/or is this guy: http://steamcommunity.com/id/RaeTheLynx/
I have no idea who that is. Any reason why you chose that person in particular? Also, most of us are completely aware that we're not animals. The ones that think they really are animals are often considered crazy even by other furries.
The best explanation I can think off is, well, it's natural. Humans are colonies of billions of cells that just go around looking for another colony of billions of cells that produces the opposite gamete, to create a third colony.
But they're intelligent colonies of billions of cells. Somewhere in there there's a spark of intelligence that gives us the ability to think and reason. It's this ability that people should use to learn when to shut up and stop telling people about their fetishes.
Those are all the furries you know to be furries. There are plenty more who aren't vocal about it who you wouldn't suspect.
if i didn't know they were a furry i couldn't hate them for being a furry.
I hate it when people can't use proper grammar.
i used proper grammar just no punctuation. this is just an internet forum, i'm not applying for a job.
I believe that the concept of a "furry" is beyond fetish and instead more like a mental disorder. Hm, that is an interesting point.
Well, yeah, but it's a mental disorder that doesn't directly affect the thought process. It's not hard at all to shut up about it.
I think that they shouldn't be open about it when the time isn't appropriate (This is what I despise, its incredibly retarded) and act like they're some minority group or some "race" because of it. Secondly, I hate when people bring it up, it's a stupid topic, and who the hell actually cares, especially in threads. Other than that, I can get along with people who enjoy the furry fandom just perfectly fine. Want to know why? Because I'm not a prejudging nit-wit, and when they don't tell me over steam, I don't know, so why would it matter? Why simply because they enjoy a certain porn would they, other than the morons who run around telling it off (sadly most of them), be ANY different from anyone else?
What? 50-55 percent of furries are straight, and they don't believe that they are actual animals, that's otherkin.
Funny thing is, the furry I linked you to says 90% is gay, and his followers say he's right. Though I'm not saying he's right because everyone that is friends with him seems to be blind.
The best explanation I can think off is, well, it's natural. Humans are colonies of billions of cells that just go around looking for another colony of billions of cells that produces the opposite gamete, to create a third colony.
I can agree with that wholeheartedly.
My honest answer: I totally don't get it. It's taken a long time for me to fully realize that it isn't a joke. I think it's hilarious, and it will always seem like a joke to me. I don't hate anyone for being a furry, it just makes me laugh and really question what the hell could possibly be going through your mind. That's the truth.
Fucking define normal. Do it. [editline]11:48PM[/editline] Every human is different.
But they're intelligent colonies of billions of cells. Somewhere in there there's a spark of intelligence that gives us the ability to think and reason. It's this ability that people should use to learn when to shut up and stop telling people about their fetishes.
I suppose free will can interfere with even the most basic parts of the brain. The ability that people should use to learn when to shut up and stop telling people about their fetishes is called common sense, and it's becoming uncommon.
Fucking define normal. Do it. [editline]11:48PM[/editline] Every human is different.
Normality is a range, a spectrum. Beyond that is what we consider "weird"
Fucking define normal. Do it. [editline]11:48PM[/editline] Every human is different.
There are limits. No "perfect" human, but limits. Everyone's a bit paranoid, a bit schizophrenic, and when one of those things goes off the chart, then you're not normal.
I suppose free will can interfere with even the most basic parts of the brain. The ability that people should use to learn when to shut up and stop telling people about their fetishes is called common sense, and it's becoming uncommon.
Common sense is derived from the ability to reason, so yeah.
I see.
Fucking define normal. Do it. [editline]11:48PM[/editline] Every human is different.
I agree with you as well. From my perspective, lifeforms are nothing but large masses of particles interacting with each other. Therefore it's difficult for me to define "normal". Normal is an excited electron releasing photons. :P On a human scale, what is "normal" is completely subjective.
I see.
Now, saying that it's a spectrum/range, I can't really say where the line is drawn. It's different for everyone - not too much different, but it's shown clearly in this thread in that some people are tolerant of furries and others are not, so that shows how the spectrum differs.
The definition of "normal" depends on who you are asking.
