An AP History textbook, this could actually be useful, I could easily break bones with it, and I'm fairly certain it's dense enough to stop a low caliber bullet.
Depending on how you look at it, I have a Czech WWII bayonet, a remington combat knife, and an 8MM Mauser to my left. Oh, and 8mm ammo.
MY PUPPY! D:
A metal comb and a snickers wrapper.
A speaker.
A pellet gun. Neato it can kill small rabbits and if I hit someone in the head, it could kill them too!
A sharpened pencil. I would totally survive.

With a alot of scrap metal laying around, and random odds & ends in my garage, I was able to modify a .177 caliber 1377t airgun to fire .223 bullets. Although subsonic, they will still do their job well. Depending on your gun you may even be able to achieve supersonic shots, but I wouldn't be in favor of the extra noise from the crack of the sonic boom. That's why I love the idea of airguns in the apocalypse :D

A plastic fan on my desk. Oh boy.
Dr. Dre Beats. At least I'll die in style.
A wall. Or a flimsy closet door if a little behind me is ok.
Empty glass bottle, formerly contained Soft Brew Citrus (The soft drink born in a brewery); this'll come in handy for hobo fencing once it breaks.
